Good food isn't particularly hard to come by, but good food paired with a feeling that you are more than just another customer is rare. We visited Frik Bistro 2 on our vacation in Slovenia and our experience was so good I had to come back to write a review 2 weeks later.
Everything about this place is perfect! The Pizza is hands down the best pizza we've ever eaten, and the hospitality was top notch. They have limited availability so reserving is a must (we got lucky and got one on the day, but since the dough is prepared several days in advance it's not guaranteed). If you can't reach them via phone, they are responsible on Instagram and mail.
The owner takes his time to chat to everyone and honestly his personal touch is what makes Frik Bistro what it is. We had a Coconut Tiramisu which we was testing out and it was delicious. This place is unassuming, and truely knocked our socks off! We will 100% be returning if we are ever back...

Make sure to make a reservation though, the dining area is small and intimate. Great selection of wine and rums is also available. Chef/Baker is highly knowledgable and passionate. Highly recommended.
Update visit 2: pizzas are getting even better, food really is at the highest level. We ate Retro and Verdura, both were fantastic. Read moreWe’ve had the best pizza in years (maybe even i’ve ever had)!! Erik is the owner and does everything by himself; handpicking the ingredients in Italy, making the dough, making the dessert, doing the dishes, making cocktails, everything. Quality of the pizza’s is his main priority, and also the interaction with his costumers. Don’t miss this place. I would drive 1,5h for this pizza and will defenitely come back if we are in Slovenia/Italy again.
