Gostilna Ema — Restaurant in Bohinj

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ema restaurant and it was a truly wonderful experience. After stopping by for coffee and cake, my party and I decided to try the struklji and we were not disappointed. The dish was delicious and flavorful, and we were impressed by the waiter's willingness to guide us towards a satisfying vegetarian option.

We found this place by chance while exploring lake Bohinj. It said traditional Slovenian food and we were immediately lured inside. Unfortunately, it was past 8 pm and they only had pizzas which was still OK for us considering the locations and beauty of this place. It was lovely sitting outside during the twilight hours overlooking the lovely meadows and the mountains. We would take any food for this ambience. The waiter was a very nice charming young man who was cheerful and helpful. The pizzas were good surprisingly . We ordered a seafood pizza and a ham/cheese and mushrooms with hot peppers pizza. The highlight of the evening was the white Slovenian wine the waiter served us. We loved it so much we even bought a bottle to go with us. Medium food. Bad people working. ( im typing in english so people will understand). Got the pica 20 minutes before the other people got their food. (still waiting) they brought the wrong order. Even though we had to repeat about five times. Great if you want your family to stare at you eating and than when they finnaly get the food its the opposite. Really akward and not a good time. There is a restaurant accross the street wich i never went to but i can say withouth a doubt it is probbaly better than this. Even the couple next to us had to wait 30min to get their pica. And had to remind the workers because they forgot. When they got it they were supposed to wait for the servant to get another plate but it took way to long ao they had to get it thereself....
