This characteristic small restaurant
(the Slovenian name is Gostilna) is located inside an historic building dating back to 1825, so within three years it will reach the remarkable age of two-hundred years!
It is a typical outlet in Slovenian mountain style, so you will find a basic accommodation and local Slovenian cuisine, without big frills, or even more elaborate plates.
It is located in a very small village, out of the main courrent of mass tourism, you can reach it only if you are specifically looking for it, but in Spodnje Gorje it's the only place to get a meal in a restaurant.
Food is good but not exciting, the mix grill platter for two, is tasty but very basic and not that much abundat specially the potatoes and the sauces.
The palacinke (crêpe in Slovenian style), again are fairly good but not at restaurant level, a local brewery provides good quality beer.
The waitress is very nice but too much shy and a bit gruff, service is reasonably quick, but the total price is above the context and the received meal.
Maybe three stars are more suitable for my evaluation, but I want to be a bit more compliant and avoid a too strong judgment.
