El restaurante Mexico — Restaurant in Kranj

Of course, a stylized Mexican restaurant is part of the success of the designer. The idea is successful, well and well-budgeted. Dishes are also well-styled and decorated. This is not quite Mexican food, but much alike. Guacamole is great! Tortillas are less authentic. Great steak Ribeye, the pork ribs are not at all the Mexican option (dry). The soup of the day is super! The staff speaks English, the terrace was full, smoky and the children were uncomfortable with smoke. Toilet comfortably and clean. Obviously, the restaurant is popular, it is better to book places in advance on weekends. Mexican food in Slovenian style....

We love Mexican food and were excited to try this place due to its super positive reviews.

Unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations. The dishes were average and the burrito's ingredients were unequally devided. The first half was literally very thick slices of green pepper.

The starter was brought at the same time as our main courses, which was a bit annoying as our main courses got quite cold before we could even start on them.

All in all was it an okay dinner for above average prices.

If you're a tourist I would advice to just eat...

Food was OK and the prices are reasonable. If you order pancakes for desert, expect to be completely full after you finish them. Pancakes are very good and there are different flavours and flavour combinations possible. However the service was completely terrible. The restaurant was almost empty and the waiters looked like they had nothing to do, yet it took them a lot of time to come to our table. Our waiter also knew nothing about their menu and acted like he doesn't want to be bothered when asked anything...
