I cannot rave enough about the food, drinks, house wine (! Really!!!, for 4€/glass, private import). The food is amazing. Menu changes daily, and it caters to everyone. If you don't find your fare here, you are a snob. Must eat place in KOPER. Busy during lunch, but wait a few minutes and some table will make itself appear.
BTW. I would remove this reservation scandal. For lunch? first come first serve. Would break the clients in two :)
Ok, so for the constructive comments. Music please. The ambiance is dull and not very conducive to having another drink, or another bite, unless that's what you are going for.
The location is ok. Reminds me of a "hole in the wall" or pop up in NYC. It has its cachet, i'll give you that.
You should also invest in shades, that cut off the floor to ceiling windows to the ugly outside (BTW, floor to ceiling,,,,how have you not used this to accentuate the decor?) which would make it more intimate and cozzy.
Speaking of the interior. Obviously, this was a bar, that was converted into a bistro. As a business owner, I know it always comes down to money. But example, the beer cases staked half way up to an old marble USELESS bar slab, could be used in a fashion to accentuate, and not annoy. Also, there is a cute corner that is un-used. This could be a reserved only table for couples. This works really well world wide. Tables like these get booked weeks in advance.
I would also remove that marble counter all together. Get something else. It would not be very costly.
And I would take a grinder, and cut all the high tables and stools down to a sitting position. Makes more space, and would make it feel less like a bar and more like a bistro.
Lighting could also be adjusted to make it more cozy. 120€ @ bauhaus and you have great original lighting made of extension cords and light bulbs.
Some simple tweaks, art and 1000€ would turn this place into a must go for any socialite or influencer in the balkans.
Again, the food is amazing, and despite the comments above, the queen and I continue to return time after time, week after week, because of the food quality and chef's talents.
Must go. Don't leave koper without hitting this up.
Ps. Shout out to the homemade icetea infused...
Read moreCame for lunch and left completely satisfied. The baked garlic cream soup was flavorful and well-prepared. The risotto with carrots, pumpkin, and shrimp was delicious, and the portion was generous. We paid a very fair price for an amazing meal. The staff was friendly and used GPT as a menu translator. I totally...
