BEANTREE at Spargs Mall — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

Honestly I cant say anything good about this establishment. As much as I would like to. The food was oily, bacon burnt. I am left feeling extremely nauseous the rest of today, and getting sick.

I have been to Bean Tree on multiple occasions, I know many friends and family, who swear to never go there again. I only go there for the chat rooms for business meetings. But the staff there are always horrible. Please get a new change in staff. They always have bad attitudes, they drag your feet, forget your order, never reply to you. They make it, as if you doing them a favor by ordering. Its just, the worst service East London has to offer. The only way this business is staying alive is the fact that they are the only ones who have meeting rooms, and its affordable for the retried people.

Other than that, its pathetic. I will only be ordering cooldrinks or coffee at best there, for meetings in the future. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I was there yesterday with my partner. When we got there , there was no one there to assist and give us a table we had to try and get someones attention as the waiters just kept walking past us . We finally got assisted and seated . We then had to wait 15min before I got up and asked if someone was going to come and take our order . After placing our order we waited 45min to an hour just waiting for our food . In that spam of time other people who came after us had already been served , eaten and paid their bill . We had 3 different servers in that span . When we received our food the extras we had asked for was not even there . I understand the place was busy but it's ridiculous that the service was so bad and we got treated badly . Not to mention I am diabetic and had to eat as my sugar was dropping and had to wait that long just...

I've been here a few times, at different times of the day and there are a few things that are consistent: You will wait a bit long for your food to arrive but, When your food arrives, you'll forgive the long wait. The Beantree is conveniently located within the Spargs Mall, the food is usually good and reasonably priced. Besides the tables and booths, there is also a docking station as well as a couple of private meeting rooms. The service staff is usually friendly (unless you find someone having a bad day) and it's obvious they are doing their best despite the time you will wait to...
