Having been in the center on Friday night, we saw people queuing outside the restaurant. We took this as a good sign decided to stop here on the way to PE airport on Sunday night at 6:40pm. The restaurant was empty compared to Friday night. The take away pizza area was busy. Although the waiters were friendly, to get their attention was virtually impossible. We waited 25 min before we got a drink. Our order was placed before 7pm for food. Getting worried about time (I had to check in by 7:50pm), at 7:23 after desperately trying to attract a waiters attention for more than 3 min, we finally got someone who said that they would check on our food. 5 min later we finally manged to get our waiter's attention and he said that the food was being plated. another 5 min later we got one of our side orders. It took another 4-5min before our food arrived. My partner who is a fast eater managed to rush through his steak. The steak was good, although I could see it was more medium than medium rare (a point they make of advising you at the beginning of their menu's the definition for medium, rare etc...and they get it wrong). I finished less than a quarter of my burger, which looked good but really did not taste nice. Maybe there pizzas are better, but for a grill house, we were sorely disappointed. The manager , who we also had to draw his attention, was apologetic and offered R100 off my meal. Apologies I may have got the time wrong on the drinks but most certainly not on the food. I distinctly recall looking at my phone at 7:23. The waiter and manager was made aware that I had flight to catch. My burger was cold by the time it arrived and this too was pointed out to the manager. It was 7:40 before we got out meal. After being tot it was being plated to when we got it was long.

It's not my typical choice but it is one of the good restaurants in that area close to our holiday home and it opened on a Sunday. The restaurant was so busy on a Sunday evening, but it gave enjoyable atmosphere (a family restaurant busy vibe.) The restaurant is huge with 4 pizza wooden ovens setup, lots of tables and a kiddie section to play (a small indoor jungle gym.) They don't take reservations so first come, first serve. The services were great from walking in and taken to our table, ordering from our server, and managers walking around checking if the customers are okay. We did wait, but it didn't feel too long considered how busy they were. The food tasted yummy & fresh and it was cooked well. We ordered a seafood platter for 2, and it came with 3 seafood (prawns, fried hakes and calamari), 2 sides, and 2 sauces. As for the price for the platter, it was R499. What we ordered was pricey. I'm sure ordering a pizza or a pasta would've been lesser. If you ever in Port Elizabeth near Kragga Kamma and you are looking for a good restaurant, then I would recommend it. Please note that I gave them 5-star because it was a good experience overall, however, 4-star for food & atmosphere because it is not my typical choice of cuisine and a place I would eat at (not because the food tasted bad or there's noises.)

I have never given any restaurant a 1-star rating, but after my last experience, even a 1-star seems generous. Here is my reasoning: * No anchovies or blue cheese pizza toppings (not a biggie). * When we ordered, we were told that there would be a 45 minute waiting time, which ended up being 68 minutes. * Pizza bases were usually very nice and crispy, but last night it was disgustingly soft and mushy. * Whilst the pulled pork pizza (that I had to settle on) had sufficient toppings, the pulled pork itself was completely devoid of any flavour. * This establishment obviously encourage rowdy behaviour from party tables, as at no point during the evening could I hear a single word from my dining companions or waiter. At no point was the offending table asked to consider fellow diners or to tone it down. At other family restaurant, tables such as these would have been asked to leave. Needless to say that I won't be back and can only recommend this if you have plenty of time, a large budget and you are sufficiently intoxicated so as to not mind the noise and not notice the lack of flavour in the food. Maybe a good place to take your mother-in-law. You wouldn't hear a word she says. All night.
