This was the first time we went to this restaurant. I sat outside for 7min before someone brought a menu and offered my something to drink.
Once my partner arrived we moved inside as it was starting to get cold. We ordered a pizza and panzerotti pasta. The pasta was a tiny portion, which we pointed out to the waiteress at the time.
My partner finished the meal, and I called the waitress and asked if she notified management of our complaint. She confirmed she had.
We asked to speak to management, a bit perturbed why they hadn't bothered to talk to us despite knowing we were unhappy.
The chef came out to talk to us. After being defensive about the portion size, I recommended that they consider having a 'not so hungry' /ladies portion the size they served and a man size portion for hungry people. Once again the chef came across rather defensive.
After more discussion, she capitulated and offered to give him 4 more pieces.
The pasta was very tasty, just too small.
The pizza tomato base is a bit bland. Best to go for tastier toppings. Toppings were enenly spread.
Also recommend heaters on a cold night. The doors were stacked open and it was very chilly...
Read moreGood afternoon, Last night my partner and I visited this restaurant @ The Flamingo Shopping Centre. Upon our arrival, it took the employees 5mins just to recognize us. A white male waiter told us that they were full and that we should wait for the next available high table and that those customers were leaving. We waited 15mins outside the restaurant. We saw the customers leave and started to approach the restaurant, before we could even be addressed and take to the table, a white couple who just arrived were seated at the table that we waited for. When we approached the same white male waiter for the second time, he acted as though it was the first time he saw us and told us that the restaurant was full and that perhaps we could think of having a coffee or dessert... And sit where with that??? He was demeaning and gave us a very racist tone. We felt so uncomfortable being there and it is clear that Non-whites aren't welcome here. We are all paying customers who deserve to be treated with warm hospitality...
Read moreSurely if a restaurant gives an opening time of 10 am it should be open to the public at 10am. I have been coming to Buonissimo since it opened in Flamingo, both with friends and with family. The last 3 times that I have visited the restaurant has been at 10 am. to have cappuccino and sometimes breakfast . All 3 times I have been treated with the utmost disdain by the waitresses and the last time being Friday 18th December my friend who had arrived before me was told to get coffee elsewhere as they had not started cleaning yet. No managers around, staff non existent except for the rude waitress and Jordan the barista. I shall never go back again. If this is the way loyal customers are treated then shame on them. Good for them if they do not need my patronage. Many coffee shops and restaurants to choose from. I dont need them and shall never...
