Cade Del Sol continues to be one of our absolute favourite spots in Bryanston, and once again, it did not disappoint. This charming Italian gem delivers consistently excellent food, warm service, and a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere that keeps us coming back.
Our Friday evening visit began with their exceptional espresso martinis—now officially my new favourite. Served in beautifully chilled glasses, they were perfectly balanced, rich, and smooth—setting the tone for the meal to come.
For mains, we couldn’t resist the beef and pork bolognese gnocchi. It was superb. The gnocchi was soft, light, and airy—exactly how it should be—and the rich, flavourful sauce clung to each bite with just the right balance of savoury depth.
To end off on a sweet note, we shared the coffee crème brûlée, which was a delightful twist on a classic dessert—creamy, aromatic, with that satisfying crack of the caramelised top.
Cade Del Sol remains a top recommendation for anyone looking for great Italian food, welcoming service, and fantastic value. Whether it’s a casual evening out or a special occasion, this restaurant...
Read moreThis was my third time at this restaurant. Coming for their pork belly dish which is usually amazing. Unfortunately this time my food wasn't so great.
One of my 2 pieces of the pork belly was burnt. Only found out when I was about to eat it. Asked the waiter to get it fixed, next thing I know, a guy called Warrick who apparently is the manager there, came to tell me how much he would have appreciated it if I had asked him to fix my food in the beginning instead of complaining when i am half way through! Explained that I only noticed it when I was about to eat that piece as the first one was fine, but he still insisted I should have said it sooner.
Not sure if I was supposed to turn my food upside down before eating it! As if this level of rudeness was not enough, this so called manager went on to tell me how the meat was not burnt, and the diference between burnt meat and caramelised! Like really? Surely one doesn't need to go to a cooking school to know when you have been served burnt food!
Needless to say I left without...
Read moreThe place was beautiful, the staff was amazing too. My friends and I were there this past Saturday. Today is 2:24am and I am still feeling the effects of going to Botanico.
Friend 1: ordered bolognaise (beef and pork or something along those lines) Friend 2: ordered salmon salad Friend 3: me, I ordered stuffed calamari
My friends shared in my stuffed calamari. I felt sick and nauseated even before I finished my meal. When we left I got home and just slept because I kept feeling like I was going to throw up. Bottom line is, it's Tuesday morning and I still have a running stomach and still throwing up and have been unable to stomach anything since. My friends also had the same reaction unfortunately, none of us was spared, which makes me think it was the calamari or maybe even all our different dishes. I strongly suspect food poisoning and will go have myself checked today.
Honestly a very unpleasant experience that we paid good money for. I need an explanation or some kind of communication from you guys...
