On a previous occasion We had a great experience with ordering hamburgers at de Vreugd, so 5 of us decided to return on Friday evening. Unfortunately, this time the food did not meet our expectations At all. Both the hamburgers and chicken schnitzel were very disappointing.

The hamburger meat was mushy and lacked the proper texture, all left uneaten after the first bite, while the schnitzel was also very dry And bland no seasoning, not even salt The mushroom sauce, which we expected to enhance the meal, did not even taste like mushroom sauce making it hard to enjoy.

This was particularly disappointing because dining out is a luxury for many people, and we were looking forward to a nice meal. Given the high prices, we expected much better quality, especially considering the good experience we had before.

Yesterday, we celebrated my sister-in-law and her new baby girl who's on the way. The babyshower was at De Vreugd and it was my first time here. I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this place. A well stocked bar with plenty of comfortable seating inside and the most beautiful outside area. The whole outside area is covered and many trees provide additional shade, making it a cool place in the summer heat. We were served platters with delicious finger foods and a tangy dipping sauce. I was disappointed to find out that the cuppacino machine was out of order on the day, but I was offered a very nice cup of filter coffee instead. We were pleasantly surprised.

They immediately answered the phone. We wanted to know what the cake for the day was and could choose between Milk Tart or Peperment Chocolate Cake.

De Vreugd Koffiehuis delivered, free of charge, within 10minutes after placing an order via WhatsApp (we are located within 1km from them) and their food is devine.

We were expecting a small piece of cake, but instead received a huge portion. Really impressed with De Vreugd Koffiehuis and their service.
