Elephant and Friends - Moreleta Park, Pretoria — Restaurant in Gauteng

There is no place to sit for non-smokers. After ordering plenty of drinks, and eating most of the special they did not want to let us take our leftovers in a doggy bag.

No take-away means we not allowed to call, pick up and take it home. We sat down ate and ordered plenty of drinks for the restaurant to make a profit. They even got the order wrong bringing us more chips than what we ordered (charging us for them which we ended up paying for) We made sure to explain the waiter even wrote it down to not bring us more chips than what we wanted.

Not impressed at all. Very very different and disappointing experience from the previous time we were there.

Definitely not going...

We went for karaoke on a Tuesday night. I can say that the karaoke host was more interested in playing on the gambling machines than karaoke. The setup is quite bad because you have to sing with your back to the audience and the song selection is very poor. I got the impression that I was disturbing the karaoke host when I wanted to request a song. The place was surprisingly full for Tuesday and the staff were very attentive. Nice place, nice vibe but be careful when you pay your bill...if you drink a lot you wont notice. The one waiter tried to steal 100 rand from me now twice. First time I paid with my card and saw he tricked me and when I asked for the slip he said he already teared it up. Last night he stole 100 rand cash again. Bill came to 260 including 30 rand tip. Gave him 400 got 40 rand back. Then I called him back..If he steals 100 from every customer including getting his tips he might consider buying his own pub. Please check your staff.
