This place I found whilst visiting the East for a friend's babyshower. It was also the day of the Rugby World Cup Final 2019 and I was not going to miss that for anything. My friend and I drove around and after being disappointed by the RocoMamas in Rynfeld, which did not have a television on only the biggest day in 2019 for South Africa sport; we found the Grid and Grill Pub. We would not have know there's a pub there if it were not for the GPS taking us there and having a car guard confirm that there is a pub there. There is no visible signage unless we missed it somehow. When we went in we were told that upstairs was fully booked and had to find a sit downstairs. The deco is very modest and there are no frills here. The waiter took our drinks order and asked that we wait to order the food. This took quite a while and we had begun to think he forgot to take our food order. When we could eventually order we ordered a pub style food basket and for R100 we were not disappointed. The chips are proper "slap" and delicious. There rest of the finger foods were also delicious. The samoosas however had a very thick pastry which is less nice than the original pastry. The one disappointing factor which had influenced my rating was that they gave us very dusty plates to eat from. A patron at a table next to us complained of getting dirty glasses with his drinks. This was unfortunate as everything else was fairly good except for the slow service and dirty crockery. If I find myself in Rynfeld I would go back and hopefully get a chance to venture to the more...

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had and I am not one to complain! So sad Mcgintys has closed down! DO NOT GO THERE! 40 minutes after we ordered coffee, we were told we were never going to get it! 2 hours after getting there, after constantly complaining and eventually cancelling our toasted sandwhiches(which we thought would be the quickest to get), and after cancelling our food order, it suddenly arrived.. One toasted sandwich SHORT and it was charged for! I will tell EVERYBODY I know to avoid this place at all cost! You could have made a fortune from our table alone, if we could just have gotten service! Instead, we will never come back and each of us will be telling all our friends! Edit:I feel I should add that the horrific service was not the fault of our waiter, but directly due to ill running of the establishment itself. Maybe it's time for the...

Came for The St Patrick's Day Event ☘️, but didn't see any decor, so we took our own photos with our hats and that was the end of that. Wasn't our First Choice in Benoni, but saw the Event on FB as by 16:30 our First Choice was packed.

Service wasn't bad. Waiter was extremely thorough and wrote the order down word for word. Mash was a bit bland in the sense of it looked buttery but tasted more herby (some may prefer it that way, so this is just a personal preference and experience remember)

Chicken Snitzel is a excellent size however I opted for sauce on the side which may have resulted in my only having enough to cover a third of the Chicken Fillet.

I cannot fault the fast service with drinks or food though. You won't go thirsty and before you know it your food will have arrived.

Lovely deck with benches spaced VERY well.

Was a first and don't see it...

What do I say about the takeaway I had last night from this place? I have no words. I ordered a crumbed mushroom starter, chicken Cordon Bleu with mash and a chocolate milkshake at 18:42 with an estimated delivery time of 19:40. My delivery arrived at 20:01, stone cold and just as hard. Too much salt and the chicken was still pink inside. The mushroom starter seemed to have been rolled in sand and then overcooked (my dogs enjoyed it) and the only reason I'm giving one star is because the chocolate milkshake wasn't too bad. As for the "mash", well, see the photo. Sorry, Benoni Grid and Grill, just not worth ever returning for a second time.

What an absolute disaster this was. The only thing that was nice was our waiter. He took down the order word for word and kept apologizing for the kitchen mistake. Who makes a ceasar salad with mayonnaise and then try and trick you by mixing mayonnaise and tomato sauce and calling it thousand islands. First it came with onions although I asked for none. The tomato was almost at its last and so was the cucumbers. The so called croutons was a slice of brown bread cooked in oil for how long. The second salad was basically the same as the first but with no onions or peppers. Sorry to say but this was a first and definitely a last visit for me.
