Jan Se Skuld. — Restaurant in Gauteng

Waiter was fine. Food ok but chips compleyely soggy, the meat and souce poured over it. Who does that? Patrons are allowed to smoke in outside public area, it was terrible! Payment was a huge issue, tried to make a card payment 7 times using 3 different cards. Nothing wrong with the cards, right after I paid with cash and left, I bought fuel with 1 of the cards, bought items Spar with another card and draw cash with the 3rd card. There is obviously something wrong with the Capitec paypoint devices but they did not want to hear anything about it! Never again! My reviews are consistantly positive but not for "Jan se Skuld", they deserve a poor review.

I find your response on my complaint regarding the paypoint machine isue arrogant, and it is indicative of the example that is being set to your employees. I struggeled a long time trying to make the payment, complaining to your staff that there is something wrong on your side as my cards are fine and there are funds in the accounts, even going as far to show some of the account balances!!! At no point was help offered with an alternative payment device!!! I even left after after trying several times and returned later to the bar area to try several more times! A lekker experience from start to finish.

To begin with, the atmosphere at the restaurant was simply fantastic. The decor was modern and inviting, with warm lighting and comfortable seating. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing evening out with friends.

The service we received was also top-notch. The staff were all incredibly friendly and efficient, ensuring that our experience was as enjoyable as possible. They were quick to refill drinks and check on us throughout the meal, which really added to the overall experience.

But the real highlight of the evening was the food. Everything we ordered was simply delicious. We tried a variety of dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. It's clear that a lot of care and attention goes into the preparation of the food at Jan Se Skuld.

In addition to the great food and atmosphere, Jan Se Skuld also hosts quiz nights once a week, which are always a good time. It's a great way to spend an evening with friends, and the competition is always fierce.

Great atmosphere! Something between a jol and an outdoor pub, with all kinds of people hanging out there, young and old, casual and dressed to impress. You can wear your kort broek or your gym tights, nobody will stare at you. Seems like a nice place to just go and have a good time, enjoy and be yourself. We enjoyed the live music! There is room to dance, should you feel like it. Moving around from area to area, you can go from feeling like its an outdoor music festival, to a nightclub at the bar, but everybody hears the same music using a proper sound system. Very busy, but they handle it well. Lots of waiters, safe car parking with guards and bouncers. There is a decent play area for kids with a jumping castle, definitely a great place to have fun as a family, head out on a date night like we did or get together with friends.
