KFC Boskruin — Restaurant in Gauteng

Good day,

I would like to explain the very unpleasant experience I had at your KFC Boskruin branch.

When I entered the store, I tried to place my order using the self-help machine. However, when I attempted to finalize the order, the machine displayed an error and did not accept card payments. I then asked the cashier for assistance. She laughed at me and said that the machine was out of order. I found this extremely offensive and unprofessional.

I then asked if I could place my order and make payment at the cashier point of sale. She replied, “No, the card machine here isn’t working either,” and did so in a very sarcastic tone.

Feeling disrespected as a customer, I decided to go through the drive-thru instead. I informed her that I would wait at the window and not move my car. I then ordered one of the most time-consuming items on the menu, the Mega Strip Box. Please note that I did not even want such a large meal, but I wanted to prove a point about the poor treatment I received.

I waited at the window for approximately 20 minutes while four cars behind me were forced to wait as well. The manager eventually came to the window and begged me to move my car, which I refused to do, as the way I had been treated was unacceptable.

I urge you to review the camera footage from 8:47 AM on 26 October 2025 to verify my experience. This KFC branch needs to learn to respect its customers. Please note that at no point was I rude or raised my voice toward the staff; I merely demonstrated that customers deserve respect as well.

I would appreciate it if someone from KFC Head Office could address this matter and...

Not the best KFC, Not sure why but the chicken we got from here is usually pretty bad (Tastes old), Not the same standards as some of the other newer KFC's. In general i have noticed that KFC standards are not what they used to be at most branches. Not sure why. I also find that newer locations seem to have the quality that i'm used to for a few months and then the standards drop.

This KFC in general has some of the longest waiting times i have ever experienced from a KFC. Old chicked, Not crunchy batter (Like its been laying in oil for a day.) The zinger wings were old, And they made me park while they prepared them and they were dry. It's dissapointing to have to wait and then it's not even fresh or prepared to a good standard. I'm just dissapointed that my favorite takeaway chain has lost it's way completely. or so...

Where do I even start, I’ve frequented this kfc for years and have maybe had 2 decent experiences, they’ve made me park and wait for over 40 minutes after going through the drive though on at least 4 occasions, once for over an hour and we went inside and they had simply forgotten and told us to go wait in the car again. They lied about being out of chilli salt today and asked what my order was a million times and made us wait for ages again and the chicken pieces are NASTY - also the chips are not worth eating without chilli salt and they never give you any. GATVOL.

Edit: we decided to return to this kfc today and the drive through made us wait over 20 minutes, the staff was incredibly rude to us as well. No doubt the food is cold and disgusting as it was just sitting there while we were waiting so long....
