Relaxing way to spend the last day of the year, with a convenient super delicious vegan take out, a bottle of perfectly chilled vegan Champagne, and loved ones, off course!

We arrived early this morning, ahead of official opening time at Simply Asia in Boskruin however, great service very seldom turns clients away. We were offered drinks, our orders were promptly taken, and the The Chef jumped in right away.

By the time my partner and I had finished our early morning meeting, our meals were prepped and wrapped. Service, professional, friendly, and warm. Gilbert Chakanyuka’s keen enthusiasm to please is a breath of fresh air, he always gets our orders right, never disappoints, recalls us by name, and appreciates fully the ethical side of being vegan.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gilbert and his team for making our very special family luncheon a huge success today. I always make it a point to end the year off with love and positive thought, in order to start the new one with the same good vibration.

We highly recommend this establishment, if you are vegan, with good communication, you will have a marvelous meal here with all the extras! Be sure to let them know exactly what you need and what you don’t, they are incredibly obliging. We love them !

Oh, must just mention that, we took our Buddy for a walk prior to tucking in, must have been over half an hour and, by the time we sat down to enjoy our take out - was still piping hot!

P.S: We order 514 with rice noodles mixed, extra sauce, added extra cooked mushrooms. Tofu as protein choice. Make sure that adequate cashews are given, no fish sauce or paste. Mine Thai style heat, theirs medium. To the side: sugar, chili flakes, chili in vinegar,...

Had an upsetting experience tonight, got served by a lady named Vuvu, I was ordering a take-away 514. There were people before us who were still looking at the menu, she proceeded to ask me what I'd like to order told her my order, my sister was still looking at the menu, so I told her my sister is still looking at the menu and she can assist the people who arrived prior to us. She went on to say she has already started processing the order, consequently my sister did not order dinner. I then completed my order, about 1 minute later I stood up to go ask her to please ask the chef to put my cashews on the side, she then said why didn't I say when I ordered, I tell her I forgot, she didn't update the order immediately, so I asked Theo to update my order, he did so immediately with no hesitation, went straight to the kitchen to update my order. To say I was disappointed with the service would be an understatement. I drove a distance to order food from simply Asia, and I've been a loyal customer for the approximate 3 years that I've lived in Northriding. Vuvu needs customer service etiquette training, she is a unpleasant individual to be dealing with when...

We have frequently in the past attended and enjoyed our experience at Simply Asia Boskruin.

The experience today was far below of a restaurant that should operate in a competitive industry. We will not be returning.

We waited for more than 10 minutes before our drinks order arrived. This after we struggled to get the attention of a waiter.

The waitress was not attentive at all and our order was not complete.

The tuna sashimi that arrived was sub par, frozen, did not all looked like tuna and was a small portion. When pointed out to the manager he took 10 minutes to resolve it and indicated that I will be charged half of the price.

When the bill arrived the discount was not factored in.

The restaurant ran a half price sushi special but only 2 tables were filled. I felt compel to indicate to the manager that the service was far below standard and that I do not feel that a tip was justified.

He indicated that they were busy training staff.

I believe that they are focussing on their delivery service and fail to look after the patrons attending...
