KFC Delfi — Restaurant in Gauteng

If I could give zero stars, I certainly would. Typically, I’m not someone who readily leaves negative reviews; I strive to provide positive feedback even after a bad experience.

However, the KFC on Delfo Road truly delivered a disappointing service. I arrived at 6:30 PM hoping to order a burger meal. First, I waited at the drive-thru without any assistance, despite there being no cars ahead of me. I stood there for over five minutes, and when someone finally acknowledged me, I was told to just wait. I ended up standing another five minutes before I could place my order.

When I finally tried to order, the staff member repeatedly got my order wrong. I asked for a double crunch burger meal, and she responded with, "Okay, two burgers coming up." I clarified that I only wanted one burger. After that, I requested to have the sauce and garnishes removed due to an allergy, leaving only the cheese and patty. However, she removed everything, including the cheese. I patiently repeated my order three times. Then, I requested a Coke instead of the fountain drink and asked about dessert options, as I couldn't see them in the drive-thru. Instead of providing the options, she added a chocolate milkshake to my order, which I declined. I then said it was fine and asked for just the burger meal.

Once the order was placed, I drove to pay, and the cashier asked me to confirm my order. She claimed my order was incorrect, leading to further confusion. I confirmed my order, and after she left, she returned with my order in hand for payment. I paid and asked her to double-check my order, and she assured me it was correct, so I drove off.

On my way out i decided to stop in KFC parking to check my order and found that I only received the burger—no sides or drink. I drove back to the drive-thru, and the staff member acknowledged I had forgotten my drink. However, when I asked about my chips, she insisted I hadn’t ordered any. I explained that I ordered a meal, which includes chips. I spent another ten minutes trying to sort out what I paid versus what I received. Ultimately, she asked me to pay more money, but I explained that this was not my mistake; my order slip was correct. She then told me I could drive through to collect my chips and drink.

I waited another ten minutes before someone finally came to the window to ask what I was waiting for. I explained that I was waiting for my drink and chips. She didn’t even know what chips I was referring to, so I reiterated that I had ordered a meal but only received the burger. It took her five minutes to locate the chips and drinks. I’ve never encountered so many mistakes at a KFC before.

I finally left the KFC at 19h15 - 45min after I first placed my order.

The reason I used the drive-thru was that I had a very young puppy in the car, and she is too small to be left alone. Therefore, I couldn’t enter the restaurant since pets...

I was so disappointed with the staff today at kfc I always place an order 1 hour before coming to collect because I knock out at 8h30 so called them at 7h30 and placed an order for streetwise 2 with chips and said I’ll come collect at 8h30 When I arrived at the store to collect my order they told me that it’s now they are starting with my order there is no meat. I was so hurt and angry I just didnt wanna cause any dramas I just said okay and left……they couldn’t even say sorry to me maybe it’s because I’m younger so they took advantage of that ……. Not sure how this place has a 4.5 star rating?!?! This was my third and final visit here. Close at 22h00 but when you order at 20h30 they don't have a Colonel burger and don't have chicken pieces because they are about to close?! An hour and a half before actual closing time? So KFC don't have chicken? Shocking to say the least. The first two visits took forever to get your food. Môre than 30min for a drive thru and the line wasn't long. I'm definitely not coming back ever. So hopefully this helps someone else to rather choose a different KFC. Please note that this does not apply to the Elegant Fuels garage, they are 10...
