Worst McDonald's in the world. Terrible customer service. They should just close the doors. No pride in their work or service. Terrible service recieved several times. Sloppy staff with zero customer focus. Poor service,bad attitudes. Staff is rude and make you feel as if you are irritating them.

EDIT: 22 Nov 2021: Still not open at 07:20. When I was younger, I was once called in and given a warning for being 1 minute late. But it seems at McDonald's, they open whenever they want to, not when the sign says. They used to be a 24 hour McDonald's. Such a waste.

EDIT: 19 Nov 2021: They are suppose to open at 7:00am. I went there about 07:15 and they were still closed and was blocking the entrance with crates. Seems like they open whenever they feel like it. They used to be a 24 hour McDonald's.

EDIT: 12 Nov 2021: I ordered a Sausage McMuffin with egg meal and an Orange juice. I received a big mac and an Orange Juice. It's not rocket science. All you have to do is make what's on the order screen. Looks like it's too difficult for the people working at McDonald's Pretoria North. I wish I could give a negative rating.

EDIT: May 02 2021: slow service, drive through order window broken, so they had to manually take my order. The process is slow and they didnt have salted caramel coffee or hazelnut coffee, no iced coffees even though there are big signs advertising the iced coffee. Slow service. I have noticed that the bad service depends on who is working. Some of the staff have a good work ethic and take pride in their job, but most don't.

EDIT: Nov 26: Paid for a hazelnut iced coffee this morning and all I received was an iced coffee with no Hazelnut flavor in the coffee. Thanks McDonalds for screwing up another order!

Was asked once to wait outside in the parking. About 8 other customers were helped after me. Then when I went inside to complain they made me the bad guy and told me I should wait outside.

Sometimes you have to wait long, sometimes they ask you to even park your car to wait. Many times the ice cream machines are switched off even though it is supposed to be 24/7 service. The staff is not always very friendly either. The seating area upstairs are also dirty most of the times.

One thing I will say is that it really also depends on what time you visit them and who helps you. I have been to Mc Donalds in Japan and also in Dubai. There your service is generally faster. However, compared to South African standards, there have been times when they have helped me fast. About two weeks ago, I went through the drive through and I was about the only person in the drive through and did not wait at all. When I arrived at the final window they already had the food ready. So its not all bad, but there are times that you will get bad service and times that service will be better. I have added a star to my review because of the recent service and will continue to edit this review...

Not safe to park nearby store entrance. Drums pretending to be car watchers, drink in a mop and harrass you for tips once you want to leave. They fit with broken bottles and all the shop staff day is: Eish, David! (The "car watchers")! Since alcohol bann was lifted, they just sit under the tree infront of Totiusdal Handelshuis and drink in public then fight with broken bottles. Inside the store the staff of colour is really friendly other than the sales lady with long straight hair. She is really not friendly or helpful. I know this store now for a while 60 years. That's right .. 60 years. I praise them for keeping their name unchanged throughout all these years. Sadly, when they take down your number to call you when the size school clothes you were looking for is out of stock, that's the end. They never get back to you.! Otherwise ... If you can park further away from entrance ... The shop inside gets...

I generally have a great experience everytime I am at this Mcdonald's as my kids love the food. However, today was a different experience. A surprising but unpleasant one. Tshegofatso Malatjie was unpleasant, cold, rude and plain unprofessional. He was in a hurry to complete the order, and chose to not ask some questions, which were rather important, to complete the order, and seemed irritated and dismissive throughout. I ordered Mcnuggets meal for kids, amongst other things. He didnt ask which sauce we wanted, or whether we preferred a boy or girl toy. He decided that sweet and sour sauce and a girl toy will for a 4 year boy. He disappeared half the time through the payment stage, and looked literally bored throughout the process. He looks like a young man with a long way to learn but unfortunately his attitude may affect a lot more in terms of business and client...
