Mugg & Bean — Restaurant in Gauteng

On Saturday the 28th May myself and two of my friends decided we wanted to have some late breakfast on the afternoon so we decided to go to our nearest Mugg and Bean at Bracken City in Brackenhurst.

We walked in and immediately ordered drinks and food at the same time.. Fast Forward to about 45 mins later we are still waiting for our food.... Eventually the food is delivered but doesn't look like some care was taken when plating up our food. My friends burger was cold upon arrival of the food and myself and my other friends meals didn't look nice. We had to then wait before we started eating because no condiments was brought to our table and my friends asked for extra bacon and extra Avo but she had to wait a good 10 mins waiting for that request.. Our waiter was hardly checking up on us and would gather at the entrance of the kitchen talking to all the other staff. We then heard the family next to us also call their waiter and actually tell them listen if my food is not being cooked as yet can you please cancel my order cause this is taking to long.

Now you would be thinking oh wow maybe they were busy ..... No they weren't there was probably about 15 to 20 people sitting down eating it was very quiet!

I am sorry but very very disappointed and will not be going to this Mugg and Bean...

Went there last week 5th Oct 21 (During the day at about 11:30am) they were understaffed, so the manager was apparently assisting, long story short he forgot to give my entire order to the kitchen staff waited too long to get my food and hot chocolate. When i asked him he said he told the waiter to serve me and she forgot.

I then asked that waiter to pack my food because i lost all my appetite, they still took a long time to pack my food in a box. I then left and the manager ran outside to apologise. I told him you cant supervise people and be a waiter at the same time. The waiter also claimed she wasn't told what to bring for me, it was just a mess of "back and forth communication" and nobody taking responsibility for my order.

MY ADVISE IS DONT TRY IT SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE WAY THEY TREAT BLACK PEOPLE ITS LIKE THEY DONT TAKE...

I have never experience such a poor service like that. It felt so personal. We came in and seated ourselves at Mugg & Bean Brackenhurst and after 10 minutes a lady came to take orders and we ordered tea and she never came back. After 15 minutes I call another lady asked for a muffin and she also went away and was busy serving other customers which she told us after we complained that we are not her customers. 15 minutes after I asked for a muffin, I waved to another lady and she said I am coming and never came and 5 minutes later we decided to stand up and go and called a manager who looked not bothered and all he could say was please forgive us.
