We had an enjoyable first experience here with good friends. It was a Friday evening and the restaurant was quite busy, so booking is advisable. We had a very good table in the corner, under a TV with a couch and soft furnishings. This was great as it was comfortable and substantiallly less noisy than the main dining space. Service was only OK being quite slow and rather haphazard, though no mistakes were made with our diverse orders. The Springbok Carpaccio was excellent, though we had to order bread separately, which is unusual. For mains I had the liver which was sliced thinly and served in a rich sauce with onions. The liver was excellent, perfectly cooked, tender and extremely tasty, but the sauce, though tasty, was oversalted. My wife had Veal Parma which was very good, no complaints. The mixed fresh vegetables were good, not overcooked and the creamed spinach, served in individual bowls was a really nice touch. My thinly sliced chips were however not crisp, which was disappointing. Our friends had steak baguette and also Veal. No complaints. The service was okay, though—no complaints there. However, I don’t think I will return based on the food and the overall atmosphere.
—- I had a very relaxed, enjoyable breakfast on a Monday morning. The cafe offers tables inside and on a patio; I chose the latter. My breakfast was very nice - The Milano breakfast, comprising eggs your way, asparagus with Parma ham, spinach and hollandaise sauce. An unpretentious, simple dish, neatly presented, accompanied by attentive service, reasonable prices, and a tranquil atmosphere. I will...

The ambience is pleasant, with a healthy stream of natural light flooding in during the day. The waiters are friendly and the locals are....doesn't matter, you're there to eat not be an anthropologist. Of the food, I can only attest to have eaten two pasta dishes to-date and never been disappointed. The food tastes fresh and flavourful. I'd recommend this place...
