ROBBED.

We visited on a Saturday evening, which was not very busy. The food was nice, but then we got robbed of our cellphones at our table!!

The thief was waiting at the unmanned entrance for over a minute inside the restaurant without being noticed, or cared about by anyone before finally going in and grabbing the phones from behind, and running out where his accomplices were waiting in a white BMW in the parking lot.

The manager(I'm assuming) briefly came to chat with us and mentioned that it had happened before. The least they could have done was to warn people and keep the entrances manned.

You won't be seeing us again...

EDIT: Thanks for the response, but having CCTV and a fence is not enough, if the waiters weren't standing around at the bar chit chatting, this could have been prevented, especially when you know the same thing happened recently.

There is simply no excuse for someone standing around INSIDE a restaurant for over a minute without being acknowledged.

Blaming the country's crime rate, and everything but yourself, says it all. I hope it's not an armed robber next time...and we both know there WILL be...

I visit Rocket 88 in Lynnwood with the intention to have a braai brooitjie and to enjoy something nice as it was quiet and not busy at all. Select a table right next to the office...this is what I observed, a ugly filthy office door...the frame must not have been cleaned ...for a very long ...not to mention the inside of the door...I move to another table only to find a dirty chair and table, ordered coffee ☕ to get a dirty teaspoon...the office seems to be a gathering place ....when I asked if I can eat here...as it is not clean my waiter disappear and there were various discussions about my comments...this is very bad to see the standards going down the drain..as even that is noticeable in the ablution blocks...I wonder if the facility...is ever been visited with the intend to create a restaurant to serve within at lease a reasonable standard. I was tempted to have a look at the kitchen area...but rather refrein from that. What a same...have a good downhill ride...the restaurant is in desperate need for a whake up and shake up call...at least clearn under the Fiat....you even mess up your...

Unbelievably poor service, I made sure to phone early in the morning to secure a table with my friends for the rugby. We spoke to a lady saying that we cannot book and she can asure me for a Friday we will definitely have a table available we need not worry. As I mentioned to her that we are coming for the rugby I would have thought that she would know it will be a busy night. We arrived....and NO OUTSIDE TABLE WAS AVAILABLA, we settled to sit inside until an outside table went open, waiting for over an hour when the waiter kept reasuring us that the outside table will be opening shortly when infact more people kept arriving. We told our waiter that we wanted to watch the rugby and that when the time comes if he could turn up the tv volume. Rugby started no volume.....went to ask the manager on duty and he refused. This place can be 100% sure to never see my face again!!! If there was a zero start rating I would have def....
