We needed a place to find a quick spot to eat and to get out of the sun. On our way home, we dropped by SetteBello at the Italian Club. I've been there once before but not to eat. They have expanded and changed since the last visit. More shaded seating outside, which helped with a breeze. Our waitress Proud was so sweet and helpful.
I ordered a Mojito as she said it comes in a big glass, not the usual short ones, and it's just what I needed for the heat. Heck, it was so good I ordered another one. The easiest thing to pick was the chicken strips and chips. I was feeling for pizza but none of the premade combo's appealed to me, and I was too lazy to make my own selection. Chips were nice and crispy, Chicken was crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, and the dip was nice. Also enjoyed the Zucchini fries.
I ordered my dessert to go. When I got home, later, I decided to tuck in. As all other places they are rather stingy with their chocolate its literally just the spot on top and not filled inside. However, they redeemed themselves because the doughnut alone was soo good, i could excuse the lack of chocolate.
Won't mind going back again next time when I am feeling for that prawn pasta that looked good on the...
Read moreWent there for a birthday party.....was very busy....the food was nice....it has a nice play area outside...the waiter David was full of smiles and very friendly and always assisted us with anything we wanted... The only 1 thing I didn't like was that we were by the 1 speaker and whenever they played the birthday song it was very loud....my little ones got scared every time and I had to block their ears ....so if you have little kids pick a table far away from the speakers just in case there is a birthday happening... otherwise it's a nice place to go and relax and chat and eat.....sorry I forgot 1 thing ....1 thing I didn't like at all was I was sitting on the opposite side of the table and 1 lady came and put a reservation sign for 5pm for the next people that booked while we were all still sitting and eating and talking.....what if we wanted to sit longer as it was a nice place to be or have dinner....I even asked the waiter about that and 1 thing I said was this action says it's time to go...that sign should have only been added when we left....there was only 1 other time I've experienced that and it was a greek restaurant in Bedford centre....I had a few things to say to them believe me....but I thought I'd bring it up so anyone that reads this can't be surprised if it...
Read moreSuper disappointed in everything. This place has been on my list of places to try for the longest time, my expectations were really up there due to all the stellar reviews. It was just my partner and I (two youngish looking adults, with NO children in tow) yet the waitress chose to seat us bang in the middle of families with screaming children and having the birthday song sung every 5 minutes was not it. We waited nearly half an hour to get our orders taken, my partner ordered spaghetti and wasn't given the appropriate utensils. I asked the waitress about the dessert menu because how can I go to an Italian restaurant without having dessert and she tells me that I can go and choose for myself at the counter which would have been fine if the counter was not in another province away from our table. What makes their pasta different is the authenticity which is brought out by the lack of salt and you bet there wasn't any salt or pepper on our table and the Parmesan was rock hard in the little bowl proving that it wasn't remotely fresh. What I did appreciate was the delicious tiramisu, and the fact that on their bill they show you the math if you're going to split the bill. Also their decor was a bit confusing because the ceiling was giving date night but the other side was...
