On 2023-08-09 we had a birthday lunch where the host ordered a few platters . I have to say that it is definately excellent value for money. Everything on the platter were very tastefull from the crumbed mushrooms to the chicken strips and especially the pork ribs. I thoroughly enjoyed every single item on that platter. The platters we ordered were platters for four but it was so much food that it was actually enough for six people. I enjoyed the pork ribs so much that I even ordered some take away ribs for dinner. I can honestly say that it is for sure the best pork ribs in Pretoria. The ribs were cooked to perfection. Very soft and with lots of basting sauce. I will never order ribs from another restaurant. Not to mention the price, definately something to smile about. Do yourself a favour and visit Stone Grill Restaurant. I will guarantee you that you will walk away with a smile on your face and a very full tummy. I have to thank Russel our waiter for superb service. We came from Johannesburg to meet my cousin there for lunch. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was fantastic. We all went for the pizza special of R150 for 2 large pizzas. From my point of view this has to be the best pizza I've ever had in any restaurant. (No I wasn't asked to say this) 😂😂 The base was not thick or hard. It doesn't have too many ingredients but also not too little. The balance is just right. Oh and the flavor is something to behold. My aunt went for the schnitzel which was soft and succulent and very tasty. Unfortunately you can't only have the positive feedback but should also be able to take the negative as well. While the food and service was excellent there was a problem with flies. We could hardly eat a bite without having to swipe with the hands to get the flies away from the food. Only reason I gave 4 stars. My suggestion is that the management invest in portable fans which you put on the table that swing to keep the flies at bay. The location of this establishment is great and from other google reviews, I was not expecting 5 star looks.

However I was utterly disappointed by the cleanliness of the place. As you enter, you can smell the grease dirt.

I requested to stay be seated close to the door for some fresh air. We were really hungry and ordered drinks while we went through the menu. The waiters looked bothered to provide us with a service and when they got closer, the question was, are they even documented to work in SA.

We chose to ignore the greasy tables that look and feel like they have ever only been wiped, never deep cleaned and everything else.

Back to food, our drinks arrived and the first thing I touched was the teaspoon and that is when I decided I would rather grab a pie from the garage. It felt like it was taken from another user and given to me. To confirm that, I took out a wipe to just give it a quick rub and the texture changed to feeling clean.
