Review: Tiger's Milk in Harvest Place, Gauteng, South Africa
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tiger's Milk in Harvest Place, Gauteng, South Africa, and I must say it was an incredibly enjoyable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for a great meal.
The restaurant itself has a trendy and modern design, with a spacious layout and a mix of comfortable seating options. The vibrant artwork on the walls added a touch of creativity to the space, creating an energetic ambiance.
The menu at Tiger's Milk is extensive and offers a wide range of options to suit various tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for burgers, pizza, salads, or something more substantial like ribs or steak, you'll find it here. They also have a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options, which is always appreciated.
During my visit, I decided to try their signature burgers, and I was not disappointed. The patty was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection. The toppings and sauces were generous and added an extra burst of taste. The portion sizes were generous, and the fries that accompanied the burger were crispy and delicious.
The service at Tiger's Milk was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made sure to check on us regularly, ensuring that we had everything we needed and were satisfied with our meals.
One aspect that stood out to me was the impressive drink menu. They have an extensive selection of craft beers, cocktails, and a well-curated wine list. The mixologists behind the bar know their craft and whipped up some creative and refreshing drinks.
Another highlight of Tiger's Milk is the outdoor seating area. It's a great spot to enjoy your meal while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The outdoor space is well-maintained and provides a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
Overall, my experience at Tiger's Milk in Harvest Place, Gauteng, South Africa, was exceptional. The combination of a vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, attentive service, and a great drink selection makes it a fantastic choice for a meal with friends or family. I would highly recommend giving this place a try if you're...
Read moreAbout 20 of us went for drinks and dinner on Friday night. I had high expectations. Great atmosphere and sunset. The waiter was friendly, but the service was lousy. We only had 1 waiter. Seems like there weren’t enough waiters and she couldn’t cope alone.
Some orders were missed, some were wrong. The food and drinks were inconsistent and some took 45 mins to be delivered.
Ordered the same cocktail twice and it tasted totally different. The waiter messed half of a cocktail on the floor, but left the glass on the table. When the bill came, I was still charged for the spilt cocktail.
The bills were also not split into tabs. For each person to settle their bill was a mission.
The menu LOOKS good. Some of the items are good, but others don't live up to the description at all.
When we left at 9pm, I was shocked to see the bouncer sitting drunk as a lord at the front door not even being able to sit up straight or talk. He was totally out of it, while patrons tried to get him sobered up. Not a good sign!
A similar scenario in the parking lot when we got to our cars… The parking attendants were inebriated, directing traffic with a ‘Klippies & Coke’ in the hand.
I was looking forward to having a nice, upmarket experience, but it disappointed and if this type of behavior is allowed, I am afraid it will go south quickly with many security incidents.
Update on review:
Tiger’s Milk responded on my review and requested me to follow a link and provide my details in order for management to get more information on the experience. I promptly did as requested. To date, no one has bothered to contact me. I guess management’s great response and dedication improvement and feedback is just lip service. While I was hopeful, I am not surprised. Everything I experienced at the venue, ultimately is a seemingly true reflection on how Tiger’s Milk - Harvest Place is managed. They need to get their...
Read moreThe waitress that we got asked us while we were still eating about her tip, which is something that we didn’t quite understand seeing that we hadn’t even gotten round to experiencing her service. Said waitress, Buhlebenkosi, later pulled a face when we informed her that her tip would be R131. She got upset and asked her manager to come speak to use to add R200. This was met by push back seeing that I was confused, I enquired whether the tip was not due to be because of the service and not that it was owed to her. He agreed. We ordered 2 Fire-in-the-whole’s which we had ordered earlier. We were given burned chicken, we turned it back, waited well over 40minutes for the food only to receive chicken that I wouldn’t even give a stray dog. The General Manager, Brian, came to speak with us. To say that the service we received from him was appalling is an understatement. He proceeded to tell myself and my heavily pregnant colleague that the food brought this time round was WORSE that the one initially brought, this begs to question why we were given that food to begin with if he himself saw that the food was burned. He attempted to argue with us about how the food is supposed to look and only my after my heavily pregnant colleague informed him that she’s starved and can no longer continue to wait for the food did he say that they’ll make a fresh batch. I wouldn’t refer this place to my arch nemesis. Food and drinks not served on trays, Buhlebenkosi gave us dirty glasses. I’m not extremely disappointed in the lack of service received at what I hoped was a fine...
