We had booked seating for a group of 14 people for my mother's 85th birthday. My daughter checked again an hour before we arrived and they said everything organized. We got there, only for them to NOT have space for us. They said other people had taken over the table meant for us, but did nothing to correct the situation, other than saying we could sit at 4 seater booths where there was space. The attitude of the staff and the manager who took his sweet time to arrive when called was really bad, acting like it wasn't their problem and they really didn't care. When we moved to a John Dory where we experienced excellent service, good food and really good time, the manager from Spur had the nerve to come over to John Dory and say he'd give us a R500 voucher only redeemable at that Spur and we were to collect it from them. When my son in law went to get it, he was told they don't have vouchers, they'll just take down our details!! Talk about leaving a really bad taste in the mouth and I am making sure people know about the awful experience of what was supposed to be a special celebration. His attention to detail was remarkable. Our glasses were never empty, and he expertly recommended dishes that suited our tastes perfectly. Steven had a friendly, approachable demeanour, and his knowledge about the menu was outstanding

Not only did he ensure our meal was seamless, but he also had an incredible ability to read our table's vibe and adjust his service accordingly, whether that meant giving us space to chat or engaging in delightful banter.

Tuscaloosa Spur overall has been a great place to be in. The staff in the restaurant are really great as they regularly check on us, providing us useful information to aid us in the ordering of our food and overall just being kind and helpful.

The food that we order is really good and well made. I will admit it does take time to arrive but the quality of the food is that is worth the wait. No problems with the food what's so ever. They also have a vast set to food options (as expected) that are to appeal to everyone's tastes.

I would also like to comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant. The essence of Native America can be felt in the way the decor and and food. The same can be said about the birthday songs hat they sing, it really brings the whole place together.
