Moss Lekker Trein Restaurant — Restaurant in George

The Family decided to go and try out this new resturant. What a massive disappointment. My wife ordered a waffle with syrup and whipped cream the waiter came a while later to inform us that they don't have syrup. There is no drinks of any kind on the menu I am not sure if they a separate menu for all their drinks hot or cold but it was not presented to us by the waiter we had ask if they served the drinks we ordered so we could not see the price of the drinks until the bill was brought to us. I ordered tea again a while later the waiter came back to our table and asked if it would okay to bring the tea in a pot because they don't serve cups of tea REALLY isn't it customary to bring your tea in a tea pot. I have never heard or seen a restaurant serve tea per cup. The tea arrived with normal sugar I asked the waiter for sweetener again she informed me they don't have sweetener (diabetic's use sweetener) which I am. We ordered a plate of chips (French fries) when this arrived it was a side plate with a couple of chips in the side plate for R 35.00. The tea I ordered was also R 35.00. First and last time visit to this resturant. Just by the way there were some other people who order the R 250.00 plater and when it arrived the people were also dissatisfied about the amount of food when they queried this the owner / manager came to their table and apologised and said it was the wrong dish they were served....

Service and food was really good. The restaurant is really family friendly.

The food is affordable and tasty. The waiters are really friendly and continually checked in to find out whether we enjoyed the food or were ok.
