We had a dinner reservation, upon arrival at sunset it looked so lovely we decided to go up to the bar first for a cocktail at sunset before we proceeded to dinner. Unfortunately the waiter brought us the wrong cocktails, when we said this was not what we ordered,the manager, a Mr Johan Strydom, came over to us, did not introduce himself, was not polite and very rudely said what's the problem? We politely informed him that this was not our order, to which he blankly replied, "but this is stronger". Understood, but it stil was not what we ordered. Another blank stare and "um well the waiter must pay for it". Shocked at how how rude he had been to us over a simple wrongfull order from his staff, our evening had begun on quite a sour note. As we were one of the only 2 parties present at the cocktail lounge we tried to shrug off the uncomfortable air that was present for the unnecessary conflict that occurred, we waited for our correct order so that we could proceed to dinner. Twenty minutes passed and we inquired as to when our order would arrive seeing as the staff at the bar are chatting away and we would like to go to dinner stil as it was becoming later. Suddenly bar staff started on our drinks order, the rest of our party had finished theirs at this point. Our order arrived, and disappointed in the cocktails as tasted exactly like a virgin cocktail. Confused we inquired if this was in fact mojito cocktails as per our first order, the waiter mumbled something and said he would fecth the manager, again. Waited another 10minutes, at this point we are just hungry and would like to go eat and confused at how unprofessional the staff are being about simple restaurant matters etc. At this point the manager appeared finally and quite rudely explains that this is a mojito, when we asked him to taste it as our entire party agrees that they are definitely virgin cocktails he states "this is how they are made here, and what is gonna please you ladies?". Quite frankly taken aback at again how aggressive he is and with such small matters that can be resolved quite simply, we asked for the bill and decided to forgo our invitation as we do not want to stay any longer if we are to be treated so rudely by the staff. Settled our bill, informed the restaurant downstairs we would not be staying for dinner and left. I do sincerely hope that diners and tourists do not get treated this way there regularly and think it would be in the restaurants favor if the manager and staff attend a few client service delivery seminars on how to go about treating customers and maybe a course on manners while they are at it. Read morePinnacle dropped the bal. Five guests visited Pinnacle Restaurant. We have been to this restaurant many times as we are locals. We were surprized with the new very expensive festive season menu. We ordered our drinks. The wrong drinks were delivered. We send the wrong drinks back and asked for the right drinks. We ordered our food. We wanted to order more drinks as we wait for our food. No service. We stood up and searched for the waiter and requested second round of drinks. The drinks arrived. Out of the blue whisky arrived which we did not order. We send it back. Pizza was delivered instead of fish. We send Pizza back and requested our ordered meals. Our ordered fish arrived. It was terribly overdone, burned black on the ouside and super dry and hard on the inside. No waiter in sight. We decided to eat what we could and eventually send the burned fish back. The waiter told us he will show the burned fish to his manager. The manager arrived and introduced himself as Mr X. Mr X said he was not shown the burned fish. He promised to not charge us for the burned food. We wanted to order different food, but waiter arrives with bill and fish was still on bill. We were fed up with terrible service, wrong drinks, bad food and false promises. We paid our bill and leave. Good evening with friends ruined. Maybe December and January is a bad time to visit Pinnacle restaurant as the sudden upscale in staff to handle the festive volume does not work well. Luckily there are many alternative options...

This has been my go to restaurant whenever my friends are here or family it's so sad today we met with Johan a very very rude arrogant, angry, ill mannared manager, when someone says excuse me you don't say what!!!!! With an angry, irritated face, excuse me its my money that I will use here treat me like a human being.
The sad part was that when he goes to his fellow people which are non black his all smiles I don't want to call this racist but it surely looked like one.
Guys if you don't want people of colour please say so I will gladly visit somewhere else where I will feel appreciated and given the service I deserve.
We asked some of the waiters about Johan's behavior as we wanted to give him a benefit of a doubt apparently he is like that and managers are aware of this behavior I was left disgusted.
We were informed to not even bother to inform the other manager as our complaint will be put under the carpet it's better to inform the "Boss" which I believe it's the owner of the establishment.
