Having been to Romans across all provinces, with a very wide range of experience, this Romans so far stands out to me.
The main issue I normally have with Romans is always a factor of time. Being a fast food chain, the perception is that the concept of that is lost on most Romans. I've come to expect a 40 minute wait time, this is nothing new. Even with preorders online, one is greeted with a message saying your food will be ready in 20 minutes. A message I promptly ignore and aim for 40 minutes at the least.
This isn't the case with this Romans. If the message says 20 minutes, they mean be there before 20 minutes, because your pizza is ready and it's gonna start to go cold, whilst you go hungry. It is quite pleasant for people like myself who live in a rush and appreciate the predictability and overall speed of such an establishment.
Lastly, I tend to often order late in places, collecting minutes, if not second on the closing time. Generally I expect and receive an attitude from fast food places since I'm the handicap they live under that stops them from closing promptly that night on time. These guys remained friendly, even when I collected right on closing time. All smiles, a pleasant thank you and good night sir. Very pleasant...
Read moreI've had my share of arguments. Realistically they are ruled by their franchise and are hamstrung to a degree. Cudos to the owner, he does his best to sort things out, where he can. I think Mr D limits them in delivering into the industrial area, it's 2.3 km and a 'no go area'. Yet they deliver further in other directions. So it is disappointing and limits the Pizzerias sales, I imagine a lot. The times I've been short-changed on correct servings or rude staff, the owner has sorted things swiftly. All in all, a good restaurant, with a will to please. Nothing like Langerhoven Park in Bloem, that's a shop to avoid due to failed staff and owners. This shop is more than worthy of...
Read moreDelicious pizza with an abundant amount of toppings you can actually taste. Best pizza in town! And contrary to popular belief, they don't only serve thick crusts, there's thin crusts too. And pastas, and salads, and garlic breads. Highly recommended. Side note: they have a generator, so if you're stuck during loadshedding with nothing to eat, how about Roman's pizza by...
