The lack of service in this business was astonishing. When we entered non of the three people at the till/reception made eye contact, nor did anyone receive us. We had to take menus and select our own table. There was ten tables in the row we sat in, and all of them (including the one we chose) were dirty, either with breadcrumbs or used plates left by previous diners. We waited fifteen minutes before someone came over and said they'd get us a waiter. The waiter eventually showed up and took our order. She did not clean the table, so I wiped the crumbs and spilled milkshake myself. Thereafter the food came, which was really good, so the kitchen is at least doing their work well. However, none of the waiters nor the manager makes rounds to follow up if anyone wants something else, nor to ask if everything is okay. A few new patrons around us waited at least 15 minutes until someone came over to greet them, and only then their tables were cleaned. One elderly person joined his wife (who had already ordered), and after twenty minutes he went to the front desk to ask if someone is going to come take his order.
I am also in a professional work environment, and made the following observations:
Unfortunately I do not see this specific branch improving, looking back at the bad reviews (I looked back up to a year ago), and with that many people unhappy it is clear that nothing is being done by the owner to save the reputation of his business.
Also, I wonder whether Wimpy send out their own mystery shoppers? Perhaps corporate could put on some pressure to save their own franchise going down the drain.

People who came in after us were already eating when our food haven't been ordered yet. When I asked at the front desk for some service the staff just blamed each other and a lady came to take our orders. It's the first time where I was told that my daughter had to drink juice, soda or a milkshake to get a toy. We always order still water for her as it is much healthier. Not cool ! Waited about 30min for our food after I had to go and ask again it came quickly. I informed one of the staff that my order was incomplete as everything wasn't on the plate and the another person baught me a soggy tomato on a plate which I refused to eat because at the time we were treated with an attutude so I was afraid that something was wrong with it. Read moreI ordered the thrill of the grill because it looked appealing. The pictures on the menu always make the food look alot more appealing than what you actually get when the food arrives. The food taste was poor and bland. You are definitely not getting what you saw on the me8 and paid for. This is the reason why I never eat at a wimpy because the food is terrible. I recon Wimpy is not what it used to be in the old days. The food is not great quality anymore. My dad got horribly sick late yesterday afternoon from having eaten the breakfast at the wimpy yesterday mid morning. He had the stomach runs and was vomiting from the bacon which was not properly fried. He did say to me that something was not right with the bacon. It's taste was a bit off for him but he did not want to make a fuss. In hinds sight he is as fed up with Wimpy as I am. Food quality and quantity is not like the Wimpy of yester year.
