Nando's N1 City Drive Thru — Restaurant in Goodwood

I went to the Nandoes in N1 city. I think one of the few drive through ones that I have seen.

As usual Nandoes has a wide variety menu for everyone tastebuds. Mostly chicken items in the menu and a good amount of vegetarian options as well. Nandoes is also linked with Discovery so they also have nice healthy options as well. They also have the Kj per meal in case you calorie counting.

The drive through was nice and quick. It felt nice and quick like a usual fast food drive through. The service was good. The churros took a bit long so I parked in the waiting bay and the came and delivered my food to the car, which wasn’t too much of a wait.

I ordered a full chicken (extra hot) with peri wedges and roasted veggies. I enjoyed everything it was fresh and tasted good. The veggies were really decent.

For dessert I ordered Churros which I haven’t had before from Nandoes. They quite nice and big and they come with a cho dipping sauce. The churros were nice and fresh and delicious. The sauce was okay, seem like not so real chocolate more the ones you find in a bottle you put on top of your ice cream but it wasn’t bad. Guess it would be difficult to serve real chocolate as it would get too hard.

Order#199 placed on the 13th April 2024 at 21h16 . It was a drive through, when I got there a cashier by name of Zikhona what should I say "help" me. my actual order was 1/4 chicken breast and chips I asked her to add salad on the side. then she told me there is no breast no salad, then I ask her why? she told me its finish!! then she told me " you came late". question is how can you display a menu item that you don't have? how can you tell the customer that you don't have????? or its finish?????. then I asked to speak to the manager she told me nicely " next window" . when I got there I asked the two ladies at the window why there is no chicken breast then one of them said there is?? then I head at the back "its for the next customer". then I asked for the manager told him I want my order the way I wanted it he said to me "you can park to the front and wait", I waited then eventually they brought my order. when I got home no chips!!!!!! i called the manager he went to find out then he called me then told me " they said you wanted salad instead of chips !!!!!! I did not receive my chips and I paid for it!!! this was the worst service I received...

This place is the worst. We came in ordering a wrap and a "shake it up" milkshake. When my gf asked what was on the wrap the cashier could not answer any of her questions and she spoke very softly. The place is also very loud making it extra annoying. We orderd and sat down on a table that was messy and after moving 3 times to a different table the 3rd one was also sticky. The staff was on lunch and one of the staff spilled his drink on the tile floor and he din't bother cleaning it cause he was on break. We saw people comming in and out with bigger orders than ours and after waiting 25min we still havent recieved our food. Another customer that ordered before us also waiting for their food, walked to the cashier to ask how long it wil be and he slipped and almost fell over the drink spill one of the staff member had made. We finally got our food after 35min of waiting and we asked our money back before we got our food and the maniger din't want nothing to do with it. The food was bad. I'm no longer supporting Nando's in general because this was one of many bad experiences from Nando's in general....
