Ocean Basket South Coast Mall — Restaurant in Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality

What a lovely, lovely experience! Locals have a tendency to only support individual enterprises and often brushes over franchises, regretfully forgetting that these franchises are owned by locals, and /or provides employment to locals. Tonight I want to applaud Ocean Basket SouthCoast Mall. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely and intimate. We were promptly seated, and Linda's service was terrific, with the perfect balance of professionalism and humor. The food was astounding and the kitchen were more than willing to add non-menu items to my meal. We often frequent Ocean Basket Qatar where I work, and as much as I love them, they have plenty to learn from the South Coast Mall team....

This is where we go for a dinner treat, and the service has always been top-notch with a relaxed atmosphere. You can't go wrong with the classic hake and chips. The lemon butter sauce is so tasty! Another favourite is the generous seafood platter for one. Try the toffee caramel milkshake if you have a sweet tooth. If the weather is decent, you can sit outside. As it is in a mall, there is plenty of safe parking. I'd recommend taking a jacket or even a cushion along to sit on -- as with all Ocean Baskets, some of the more solid chairs can feel hard after a while if you don't have much natural...

Lake of attention Bad listening skills Definitely not value for money anymore Service shocker!!@! Starter rolls were the first sign of something "fishy" going on in restaurant...these tiny little rolls (probably 1/3 of portion it used to be) Cutting costs..in all areas. Very sad. Waitress gave half our meal, had to wait for sides to arrive(took a while) and we had to get up and ask eventually for knives and forks to eat our food. Once she could see we were disappointed her entire body language changed towards us. ....won't be returning to this one...
