Wimpy — Restaurant in Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality

The breakfast meals are always good and pretty good value for money, but a lot of times, although quick service, a little cold, especially the chips. The one HUGE negative is that when we were there on Sunday morning, we went with a few of us and our 6 year old granddaughter, so we sat at the outside section where the "play area" is so that our grandchild could play...WELL...there were 2 little boys (between 6 and 8) who were screaming so loud that we could not talk at all and it became unbearable. We don't know who they belonged to because the one time they sat at a table to eat, they were alone...under no supervision at all. We had the feeling that they could have belonged to a staff member, but we didn't know. We did mention this to our waitress, but she just confirmed that the screaming was coming from these 2 boys. Although this is a play area, there should be some kind of supervision for "out of control" children. Our granddaughter came back to our table after a few minutes because these boys were too loud and rough. We may try to go there once more on a weekend and see, but if we don't see an improvement in supervision with the play area, we won't be going...

Actually should be Zero. We went in with receiving the same service as Shelly Wimpy. Shocking , we got sprayed no greeting , sent to a table. Thereafter Three ladies stood at the front counter chatting. Patrons in store, waiting for service. We were not asked to be assisted, Carried on chatting at the front counter. 11 min later we got up and left. Advised them no service. They could not be bothered. We went to Mugg and Bean. Three ladies more patrons in the restaurant and the service was excellent. We will never return to South Coast Mall Wimpy again .

Hosts by the entrance was awesome! Super friendly! Staff in general is very friendly! Quality of the Wimpy brand food did decline, I do not often eat at Wimpy and was quite shocked at what has become of the Wimpy food itself! Presentation was magnificent, but it looked a lot better than it tasted. Port Shepstone Branch is in dire need of new benches, all of them were ripped very badly and the white inside was already black. The waiters did apologize and said they hope to get replacements soon. The staff get full points! Just maybe Wimpy as a chain can look into their supplies, food really tastes cheap, even the tomato sauce does not taste...
