Many years of loyalty to this store has sorely come to and end. Atleast for a long while. Bought 2 briyani and 2 soji from here which turned out to be near inedible. Potatoes in breyani were hard enough to crack your head with and all the while being completely tasteless i mean almost no salt or even spices seemed to be used. Soji was a crazy gel like texture which was so sweet it almost burned your throat. Went back to the store with two uneaten sojis and one uneaten breyani(second one was half eaten so i didnt take it) to ask for a refund or for it to be replaced with something we know and love such as Tikka but manager said j"ust because you don't like something does not warrant a refund or replacement". Didn't know Rock hard Potatoes were preferable to some people. And it should be stated when a customer is buying soji that it is halwa infact and not typical durban Soji. Either way even if it was halwa, it was not good or even edible halwa. Manager seemed more offended that we didnt like it because she stated it's their best seller. Maybe it is your best seller usually and maybe you were having an off day? Instead of admitting that and providing good customer service to an always returning customer she decided to play her hand badly. I didn't argue as i was not about to beg or argue over food and was sorely disappointed by the attitude. The initial lady was going to replace the order with no problem but then the manager decided it would be best business practice to lose a customer(mind you i was going to pay the difference for my new order). Hope to return one day when their food quality and or customer...

So I bought the steak and cheese paratha for R85 and a mixed grill platter for R150. That paratha was very tasty. As for the mixed grill, the chips were so hard, I had to come home and re fry them! I don't understand why they don't check to see if the chips are not fried properly. It came with 2 cubes of steak, that too wasn't cooked properly. It was so hard! You couldn't even chew it so that was now thrown away. I don't understand how they can't even fry two small pieces of steak properly! The 2 roti was soft when i got home but after a while that got hard. It also came with a quarter piece of chicken with 2 pieces of chicken Boti with salad. The chicken was tasty. It was well grilled! If ever you do order from here, Just ask for your chips to be well done and steak to be grilled properly. It also came with 1 sosati. That wasn't hot and it was tasty with the sauce that they give in the platter . Besides the chips, roti and steak, I was happy with the balance...

It seems the prices have increased and the quality has dropped based on my last order. I am giving them 4 stars because of past experiences. This used to be a go to tikka spot if you want all round great quality at a descent price. However if you want to start charging more then you will be compared to places that offer the same thing.

I respect that the chicken is still good and not pre-cooked and then reheated, like the trend I see in other restaurants. Everything else needs to be thoroughly checked before sent out if you want to maintain any standards at all. The roti was thin and stale, the lemon was so tiny, the chips had visual seasoning but was so bland and the salad was just a few pieces of lettuce...
