Wimpy Matlosana Mall — Restaurant in Matlosana Local Municipality

Met my employees at Wimpy Matlosana Mall today. They were served with ribs that weren't properly done and almost looked like they were rotting. The waitress also confirmed that the ribs did not look okay and offered them drinks as a token of apologizing and freshly prepared food. Because they had lost their appetite they declined more food but accepted the drinks.

The waitress asked them if they had dogs that they could feed the ribs too and my employees told her that they do have dogs and so they were allowed to keep the ribs.

Come payment time, they wanted me to pay for the ill-fated ribs and I refused, so the owner decided that they'd remove the ribs from the bill but charge us for the drinks they offered as an apology....

Nobody at the front counter when walking in. Saw waiters standing around busy taking selfies and chatting on their phones. Caught the eye of Jeneen (hope I got her name right), who was very nice and showed us to a table, gave out menus and said the waiter would be with us soon. That didn't happen at all. Waiters walked past without even asking if we were helped or checking on us. Decided to leave, we again saw Jeneen, who was very apologetic and tried to sort it out. Unfortunately, one person's good service does not mean good service as a whole. Wimpy is a staple for us,, wherever we go Wimpy is the first place we look for. Sorry to say Wimpy Matlosana Mall does not live up...

When I was a kid Wimpy was the place to go. It was fun, the atmosphere great and the food fantastic. What has happened since then I really don't know. Any Wimpy I have visited in Klerksdorp has the same problems; the tables are not properly cleaned - I've been seated at dirty tables more than once. The soda available per glass seems flat and, worst of all, more of the wait-staff than not have served the table where I've been seated chewing gum - mostly open mouthed and loudly. I miss the...
