McDonald's The Grove — Restaurant in Mbombela

I always come to your branch whenever I pass Nelspruit on my way to Kruger. Yesterday 5th December 2024 but yesterday was the first time I seen you have new faces around. Your staff have a bubbly vibe and everyone was just happy. Big congratulations to the manager of this store for keeping the staff together. And huge thanks to Mc Donalds of South Africa for giving people with disabilities a chance to work. The gentleman thats working there with a disability had members of the public approach him on many occasions and he gladly assisted them that was very touching. Your staff also brought him water and treated him with respect. I did not want to video what I seen as it would not have been nice but having visited 42 Mc Donalds around the world this was the first time I seen such a wonderful working environment. Keep up the good work to the staff and to the manager keep up your fantastic...

Last night 12/11/20 we received horrible service from the security guards who were working outside and controlling the flow of traffic we had been in line for about 10 minutes and instead of telling us politely to go cue in the other line and explain he just blocked our way and let all the other cars that came after us to go through, after exchanging harsh words with the person who was driving me he shouted inside and told them to either not serve us or give us “special order” and that obviously means something. He went on to further yell stating that we think we’re better because of the car we were driving. Honestly disgusting because he bowed and apologized to the white people that were behind us and couldn’t do that to us. Truly truly repugnant behavior from an old black male. He was wearing a blue shirt...

Tonight I was served at Macdonalds The Grove Mbombela. This lady , Nothando P Ginida have a bad skin and as he takes my order she keeps on picking her skin and flicking it with her nails whatever she was picking. I asked her to please stop and to wash her hand.

She gave me the eye and continued. When she grabbed my food and drinks and once again picking, looking whats under her nails and flick it I almost lost it. Asked her again to wash her hands please. So she went to do it. By the time I got home I decided, no way I am going to eat this and gave it to the dogs.

It's not about the money, I pay for what I want but the hygiene and attitude even when she spoke to the manager and he just raised his shoulders.... that cheeses me off. You will not see me again...
