Wimpy — Restaurant in Msunduzi Local Municipality

Wimpy in Pietermaritzburg Hayfields service is most shocking. You get a very welcome when uou walk inn. Then you take a seat and get the menus. After a while just sitting you have to call the waitress to please come and take your order. The food was very nice, but you get a steak knive to butter your toast. Where is the butter knive. When we where finished with our breakfast sitting about 10 minutes eventually called the waitress to please pack our grand daughter chicken and mayo in a take away packet. People walked in a gentlemen eventually lift his hand and called a waitress to help him. The service is very poor and shocking. We will never go...

Had breakfast at the hayfields Wimpy for the first time on Saturday. Was super busy when we walked in and I was tempted to leave, as I was expecting bad service or a long wait due to how busy it was. The waitress spotted me and came rushing forward, assuring us that we would have a table shortly. When we were seated, the waitress was right there ready to take our order. We received our drinks quickly and the food arrived after a short wait. Our respective meals were delicious and fresh. The service was excellent, aspecially considering how busy the restaurant was. We were passing through the town and decided to make a stop for a meal. We had to wait for the table to be cleaned as we stood by. We placed our orders and the food took forever to arrive almost 20-25 minutes wait!!! The bacon was not cooked properly so it had some white stuff all over it and it was not streaky as the menu stated but rather rashers without a rind, fat or flavor The toast was cold and hard. The restaurant was absolutely loud, so much so that we could hardly hear ourselves. Overall experience was not good as was the food...
