If a zero rating was an option, that’s what I would have rated the experience. It was shocking to say the least. What a disappointment after the previous WOW experience at the Spur on the opposite side. If anyone consider to go eat there, I suggest you don’t, based on our experience yesterday: The beer we ordered was room temperature They did not have the wine per glass I ordered and said they would see what else they had. When they came back with an alternative after 10 minutes, the only option was to take a bottle!! I agreed on the bottle (which I only had one glass from) It took 15 minutes to arrive with the wine – made me think that they had to go buy it somewhere. Ordered sushi and got the wrong order – when they brought the additional items after 15 minutes of waiting, it was of poor quality We were served with only 1 bowl for soya sauce between 2 of us and had to ask for an additional one The main meal seafood platter was also of poor quality – rice dried out, prawns drenched in oil, mussels so small it had no meat, calamari strips tough and unpresentable, one plate had a piece of fish a third of the size from the other one. When we asked for the manager, both our plates were taken away by the waitress to the kitchen manager, instead of someone coming to our table. Needless to say by the time we got our plates back, the food was cold. They brought an additional even smaller piece of fish a couple of minutes later after we were almost finished eating. We ordered sparkling water and additional ice that we had to ask for 3 times! We should have left after the wine incident, but gave them the benefit of the doubt, only for the experience to get worse! Read moreMy wife and I ordered a Sunset Platter each yesterday. Service was very slow. Waitress said that she had 9 tables to service and was battling to keep up. The calamari was very tasteless and tough. Like chewing rubber. Unfortunately I did not want to create a fuss as I had an appointment to keep and did not want to waste any time. Did mention my problem to the waitress. She said she would mention my complaint to the manager. I do'nt know whether she did. I said to her that the calamari was either old or over cooked. She said that they work shifts and it depends on the chef on duty. They have each got their own way of cooking!?? Thought they were all trained to cook any dish in a specific way. If you can please follow up on this...
Read moreA dismal experience: No tomato cocktail No rice (despite a checkers just around the corner from the restaurant) order was wrong; fish came fried not grilled as requested. for some reason the main course came first and then half way through the waitress brought the starter (?). No cutlery was brought either so after waiting a while we eventually got up and asked for it from the front (where the staff were busy talking). despite it being very quiet service was very slow to get the menu, take orders etc. had to ask for a finger bowl for the prawns music was way too loud.
And then the waitress had the cheek to ask us how much we’d like to add for a tip. Zero was our reply...
