This is going to be long so scroll to the bottom for the summary if you are not interested in the read😊 As parents of a toddler we don't get the opportunity to do date night quite often but this time around we did a date day. Stopped in at the Spa for a couple's Swedish Massage and the therapists have hand straight from God! The set up, the music, the therapy are all designed to put you in a relaxed state, needless to say there was a bit of drool lol. They offer complimentary drinks with your session and as a first time massagee you will not regret the booking. Please check out the Clos Malverne website for bookings and specials.

We booked at the restaurant for the Food and wine pairing and we were not disappointed! The food was exceptional and the wine pairing created a symphony of flavor in our mouths! Portions are not small but designed to keep you wanting more. We started at 12 and left just before 3pm. Our wonderful waitress, Lizaan (I sincerely hope I am spelling her name right) was informative and not overbearing. She gave us more then enough time to digest one course before introducing the next and checked on us to make sure everything was still fine. Their flagship wines and MCC are a must try and obviously I walked out with their MCC Brut😊

In a nutshell: Spa - other wordly Restaurant: You have not lived until you have eaten there

I wish there was a higher rating then 5 Stars because they deserve at least 100! Do yourself a favour and go to Clos Malverne, you will...

“Why change something that was so Perfect ??” So so so very very disappointed We have been dinning at Clos Malvern for years ! It was always such a pleasure to take our UK guests to such a unique restaurant. Amy was alway there to greet us the staff were happy and attentive Now !!! What has this new owner done!! The staff look miserable even the ones we know so well! They were embarrassed to tell us it was all changed! No welcome glass of MCC( we use to alway buy a bottle as well). Our glasses were never empty when we did the food and wine pairing menu. I couldn’t get a member of staffs eye to order wine so I had to go up to the front desk. We had oysters with a glass of bubbles only one out of the four of us were brave enough to eat them. The didn’t look fresh and once in our mouths we had to spit out as didn’t taste correct. The rest of the food was very average ! Not what we dream about and talk about for the rest of the year when back in our second home in Uk. I have read the owners comment on it now being a family African style Bistro!! Big mistake as all the people who had once spent hours enjoy the once wonderful Clos Malvern will not come back ! We would buy cases of wine and mcc to take home, now no description is given while pouring and guest would not know that it was available to buy. If the blonde lady is the new owner you were not welcoming at all on our arrival or during our time there. Please Seymour don’t do this to a...

I have been visiting Clos Malverne over the past 4 years and after a recent visit in Dec 2023 I am disappointed to say that the quality of the CM experience has dropped significantly. So unfortunately this edited review is done relative to what I knew the CM restaurant to be. A few specific points: Restaurant guests used to be greeted by a welcome drink -- a glass of the phenomenal Ellie MCC which is now no longer offered, but no incorporated into the R200 extra wine pairing option which is quite strange. The service is quite poor, our waitress was not as professional as I was used to at Clos Malverne, forgoing to offer us any dessert or drink top-ups. The view is still great from the restaurant, no one can take that, but the atmosphere is markedly different with no attentive touches such as candles or flowers on the tables Both the menu offering and the food served is of a much poorer quality, lacking the special touch it used to have. As if all the disappointing factors above weren't enough - my husband and I both got FOOD POISONING after our recent visit. I don't think I will be visiting...
