As someone with Celiac Disease, it was fabulous seeing the menu with dietary keys for every single dish, not only for gluten but for allergies too like shellfish, peanuts etc. This should be a standard requirement for all in the food industry! Just in case, I checked with the waitress that my meal could be made gluten-free and she assured me it was after she showed my Celiac card to the chef. It was wonderful feeling relaxed and safe eating for a change and not having to worry if I would get sick. I had the vegan taste of Miko (substituted gluten-free where needed) and my husband had the standard Taste of Miko. The food was amazing. Attention to detail in appearance, texture and flavor. The ambience, views and overall aesthetics of the restaurant is beautiful. So elegant. Our waitress Macso was so helpful and friendly. I only have the best things to say about this place who made our 24th anniversary extra special.

Sir Richard Branson’s shining gem of the Winelands is certainly the place to be. The hotel is the crème dele crème of luxury with all rooms of a unique design and spacious size. Throughout the hotel you can see a vibrant colorful design with interesting pieces of artwork and décor created and bought specifically for this hotel. Chic and stylish is what comes to mind when describing each room. This is a working wine farm so the wine you mind ending up purchasing or pairing up with lunch or dinner has been made right here on the property. You will most likely be having lunch or dinner at The Country Kitchen where we had a lucky opportunity to enjoy a scrumptious meal. There is plenty to do on the property itself, from croquet, tennis and even out door movie night on occasion. This hotel is ideal for longer stays as you never have to leave the property to enjoy your experience here in the Winelands

Mont Rochelle is a beautiful winery. There are the best views from this restaurant and it’s very tasty and delicious. Though the food takes a while to come to the table, it is worth it. Staff are really friendly and wine is the best here. There is also another wine tasting place in this property that we went to. The wine is super cheap and amazing. It’s also very kid friendly as the wine tasting place offers kids a little juice tasting and cookie decorating for R150. They also have a bunch of lawn games.

We stayed at Mont Rochelle for our wedding anniversary trip, and it was truly unforgettable. When planning, we narrowed our choices down to La Residence or Mont Rochelle, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. From the moment we arrived, we immediately felt the warmth and hospitality of the team.||||A special mention goes to Peter, whose energy and enthusiasm could be felt from the moment we met him—you could hear his voice from across the property, and his positivity instantly set the tone for our stay. He not only made us feel welcome but also gave us excellent recommendations for local wineries and even arranged a fantastic dinner reservation at Leeu Estate, which was a highlight of our trip.||||The property itself is absolutely stunning—surrounded by vineyards and mountains, it feels like a serene escape. Our room was beautiful and thoughtfully prepared with anniversary goodies from the manager, Annette, who also took the time to personally greet us at breakfast, which made the experience feel even more special.||||Every detail, from the attentive service to the relaxed yet elegant vibe, made our stay exceptional. We left feeling so cared for and already can’t wait to return—perhaps in the summer or during harvest season to experience Mont Rochelle in a...
