Went to the restaurant after a spa treatment with a group of 6 ladies on Sunday 2 February 2025, for an early lunch. Firstly, the restaurant was not busy, but the food took forever to come through and when it did, only 4 of the 6 meals arrived and one arrived without the extra sauce ordered. The other 2 meals (poke bowls) could not be made because brown rice was not in stock and onion rings had turned rotten. We were only told this once everyone else's food had arrived. The waiter said the chef will make a plan with quinoa as a substitute. The quinoa arrived on the plate uncooked, and the onion was fried in a clump/ball of dough and not crispy rings as the menu states. The 2 meals only arrived after everyone at the table had finished eaten. The Manager on duty, at no point kept us updated on anything but preferred being at the BOH snacking and talking to chefs. He came out just once to say the substitution will be made. No apologies and no genuine care for our really bad experience. We sent the 2 dishes back and re-ordered as we were very hungry by then. Our bill was over R2000 and it was a total waste of our time. We were also charged for sauce that never arrived. I have been to this restaurant a few times before but never again. While the view and convenience might be great, the service and food...
Read moreI love to give credit where credits is due. If you have not yet gone go and visit Silver Forest in Somerset West they have revamped their menu for their Eatery called 3 Kitch3ns now. Let me just say what they have created as menu is a something that alot of restaurants should strive for. When we arrived for our stay we opted for a quick bite which we went with their Vineyard Pizza (combination of things like grapes, bacon and balsamic reduction with rocket), hands down would say one of the best pizza's I have ever eaten. For dinner we wanted to try a few of their starters. They perfectly excuted each dished with amazing flavors, taste and freshness of products. The plating was simple but beautiful, as one saids we first eat with our eyes. However they have a grill menu and now have a sushi menu which I am definitely going back to try out. They have wide variety of wines, drinks and cocktails.Their staff are friendly and professional. We also had the pleasure of them catering for our wedding which was pizza on arrival and tapas served throughout the day, people could not stop raving about the food. Thank you Penny, Nyasha for everything see big thing for this restaurant in the near future. I am waiting on the pictures from the weddings food but here are some of the...
Read moreI have been meaning to visit 3 kitchens restaurant for quite a while now since I pass by it very often so I finally went there. The menu looks good and the prices are slightly higher than your normal restaurant so the expectations were high. The location is great and the weather played along well. We were a large group of people so the food came in bit by bit which was okayish. I ordered the 300g sirloin steak med rare with chips. My food arrived dead last and other people has already finished eating, I took one look at the steak and sent it back because it was cooked well done. When I got my new portion it looked pale, unseasoned and not very inviting. I cut it and it was blue rare inside and cold, but I ate it, or most of it. The green sauce definitely didnt compliment the meat. Ordered the crème brûlée for desert and waited very long for it to arrive. for R75 bucks the serving is extremely small and eating it was an even bigger disappointment, it was watery and had no real taste, they used granulated sugar on top and not castor sugar and it wasn't melted properly so there was no crunch when you try to crack it. Wont recommend the place to...
