Jaika — Restaurant in Ansan

Bland and tasteless, but let me explain. The two of us ordered the "Delhi Special" for KRW27'000/p during lunch time on a Friday. First disappointment was the draft beer. The restaurant offers discounted draft beer during lunch hours. At 12:30pm they said they have no draft available, so only expensive foreign beer for KRW5'000. Then came the set menu. First the chicken soup, which had an interesting taste, but was lacking salt. I wouldn't order it again. Then the Samosa arrived. It tasted OK, but was certainly not made in house. It was store quality and just warmed up. Now the first main dish, which is described as Tandoori Chicken. Sorry, but in my whole life I have never had such bad Tandoori. The marinade itself was basically tasteless. A hint of Tandoori was there, but cayenne and chili were absent. The chicken itself totally dry. Maybe better luck with the curry? We ordered Mutton Vindaloo and the Prawn Masala. The Vindaloo was too creamy and not even a little spicy (although advertised as very spicy). Not a hint of garlic or any other flavor. It tasted like a cheap pasta sauce out of the can. The same goes for the Masala. No taste of garlic, or cilantro, or coriander, or cumin. No chili whatsoever. Probably only cooked with Garam Masala out of the can, hence it tasted awful. The Nan was too thick, burnt and lumpy. We didn't taste the rice offered, as our taste-buds were already on strike. The best item was the Lassi, but that much money for a fruit shake? The restaurant claims that their chef is of Indian origin with 10 years experience. We have not seen the chef, but if 10 years experience are true, then maybe in the kitchen as dish-washer only. Don't spend your hard earned money here,...

지인이 가자고 해서 간거라 메뉴 이름을 모르겟음. 완전 인도식은 처음 먹어보는듯.. 처음 받은 죽?은 약간 입맛에 안맞았고, 탄두리 치킨이랑 튀김 등 난 이런것들은 깔끔하게 나왔다. 아직 내가 인도식에 매력을 못느껴서.. 엄청 맛있었다라고 하긴 그렇지만...
