Coralani — Restaurant in Busan

We rearranged our morning schedule to go because this coffee place doesn't open until 10, but we really wanted to take my husband's parents there because we loved it so much before. An Americano is ₩6000, which is outrageous, but the views and baked goods are great. The in laws had to have a coffee first thing, so we ordered two drinks and picked up about ₩35,000 worth of baked goods (just four items, by the way). The total was almost ₩50,000. They said we could not stay unless we ordered 2 more drinks (another ₩12-17,000). The cafe was almost empty. We tried to reason with them, and they said, "Okay, then just one more drink." Maybe they saw it as a compromise, but I saw it as turning down ₩50,000 because it's not ₩56,000. Not to mention our future visits and the good memory we had the first time--the day we had just two adults and purchased...

Cool resort vibe concept cafe. Coralani sits right on the coast, delivering stunning ocean view. The footprint is massive, spanning multiple floors with generous space. And the building interlacing architectural design felt like an art work.

The highlight is the outdoor seating decks with beach-club vibes, minus the sand. The tiered steps make for great photographs and also unblock view of the ocean. There are two such areas: a quieter one on Level 1, and the popular section on Level 3, that we nearly missed.

Coffee and food are good, though at a premium pricing, likely due to its appeal. Coralani also makes for a great pit-stop when pair with a visit to Haedong...

The view is indeed impressive. However, the quality of the food and service leaves much to be desired. It ranks among the worst experiences I've encountered in Korea. Given that it's a typical mega cafe, I anticipated overpriced and mediocre food, but the reality was even worse.
