If you’re a tourist visiting Busan — especially if you’re vegan — there is simply no better place to eat than this restaurant. It’s truly a hidden gem for plant-based travelers. Everything on the menu is 100% vegan, made with the freshest ingredients by a highly skilled chef who clearly puts care and thought into every dish.
The flavors are incredibly balanced and satisfying, making it one of the best vegan meals I’ve ever had — not just in Korea, but anywhere. There’s also a wide variety of side dishes (banchan), all of which are flavorful, creative, and, of course, fully vegan. It really gives you the full Korean dining experience without compromising your dietary values.
If you’re not good with spicy food, don’t worry — just ask for muchim (a type of seasoned, but milder dish). You can even show the staff a photo of it, and they’ll understand exactly what you want. The service is friendly and accommodating, even if you don’t speak Korean fluently.
I’ve been coming to Busan every year, and without fail, I always make sure to eat here. It’s that good. Whether you’re vegan or just looking for a healthy and delicious Korean meal, this place is absolutely...
Read moreI had the spicy marinated cockles (Ggomak-muchim) at Poong Won Jang near the Park Hyatt Busan, and it was absolutely amazing. It had been a while since I last visited Korea, so having such fresh and tender cockles again was truly special. They were perfectly seasoned — flavorful but not overwhelming — and tasted so clean and fresh with no fishy smell at all.
Mixing the cockles with rice brought out even more umami and reminded me how much I missed authentic Korean flavors. The side dishes were neat, the staff were kind, and the overall experience was just wonderful. Definitely a must-visit spot in Busan for anyone who loves fresh seafood.
