Tired of the usual fare in the area, we were looking for that special restaurant, that hidden gem that every locality has but is not (yet) well known. Crossing the main streets from the bougie side, we found ourselves in Samjung Tower, 6th floor to be exact - and what we found was no less than absolutely amazing!

Conveniently, they have a tablet where you can order on the table, so service was FAST. Did I forget to mention the staff was very polite? Come to think of it, at this point they gave me the feeling this place has given me the best experience bar none of any restaurant, 5 star included. They’re that good. But I digress, on to the food:

Chicken Tikka: this was a great starter dish to get to know whether this place was authentic or not. By all means, it passed with flying colors.

Mutton Curry: this had no right to be this good. It was the perfect amount of spicy with a smooth initial bite, the tender textures blending the savory layers with increasing intensity towards a finish that leaves the palate begging for more. This dish was so good I had to order another in the same sitting.

Saffron Rice: as authentic as it gets. You can quickly tell whether your saffron rice is real or if it’s just saffron-colored. This rice has all the flavor and aroma you’d expect.

Garlic Naan: how else can you talk about Naan? This was so good we ordered 3 more servings. Not 3 pieces, 3 servings. Yes, THAT good. Paired with the curry, it was...
