I had another red bean dessert craving in Seoul and decided to go in search for one. Found this shop online which wasn't far from the hotel so I decided to visit. Not difficult to find the shop, but when I was there I was the only customer and the staff was watching TV. I was expecting to see halmoni but it was a man who served me. Finally decided to have only 1 of the 2 main desserts and I picked the Danpatjuk. I saw on the website they serve Bungeoppang as well so I wanted to try it as well. I saw there were several flavours in the menu so I ordered 1 red bean and 1 sweet potato. Unfortunately the guy told me there is only red bean available so I only had the red bean one. He did it on the spot upon ordering. Danpatjuk was great but not fantastic, kinda seemed plain with just a few pieces of rice cakes. There wasn't another other things like the cinnamon powder. The Bungeoppang was not bad. It's thin and crispy and a bit too oily. A bit unfortunate that the red bean was also quite little. Enjoyed it but it tasted a little more like a plain Bungeoppang instead. Is it supposed to be Bungeoppang? Not sure why did they call it a...
