호남정 — Restaurant in Daegu

Hey dude, considering that it is an expensive restaurant, I sometimes go there with my family to enjoy Korean food for a special day.

For weekends, it became crowded, so you'd better make a reservation in advance. Don't forget parking a car here is also difficult.

They serve the food so fast. For that reason, some of its customers regard that it is somewhat uncomfortable because they don’t have time to have a conversation while they are enjoying the food. Well, it is your choice whether you choose this restaurant or not. Because it is the management police of this restaurant. But considering that it is a typical nature of this kind of restaurant, I try to understand it.

The reason why I prefer this restaurant is that it has several private rooms for families. And food? I love their Korean food so...

This is a very nice place with great food that's lost it's luster. I'm sure many years ago when it opened it was a top shelf lunch and dinner restaurant. It's not bad. It just hasn't kept up with the times. The building is showing it's age. The menu is priced well but hasn't changed or updated in years. Again that's fine. It's traditional Korean food. That's what people come there for. Don't expect fusion or modernization. It's good old fashioned Korean food at a competitive price (for the location). There's decent parking in front and it's location makes it convenient for a nice lunch or dinner before a walk in the park or catching a bus or...

I do not believe this is authentic "honam" style restaurant, except a few dishes. Even if you are a big fan of "jungsik" (similar to a course which serves a variety of foods one after another), I am skeptical if you would enjoy every morsel. I usually do not go to a place like this but a huge family gathering was convenient...
