This was one of the best restaurant experiences I had in Daejeon, Korea. This 칼국수 (knife-cut noodle) restaurant is clearly well-known, as it came highly recommended. When we arrived just before noon, the place was already packed. We had to wait unnoticed for about 3–5 minutes, but fortunately, a table became available soon after. We ordered 공칼 (spicy 칼국수), two 순칼 (mild 칼국수), 찜만두 (four pieces—two kimchi and two regular), and 막걸리 (Korean rice wine). Everything was absolutely delicious. The 반찬 (side dishes) were also a nice touch, as they were self-serve, allowing us to take more as needed.
