The bay — Restaurant in Geoje-si

The Bay has some excellent reviews for its homemade burgers (prepared by a British chef) but as I don't eat red meat I went there to try their Cajun Chicken Salad which I'd seen on one of their reviews. However, upon arrival I discovered that was no longer on the menu (at least it wasn't for that day) but the friendly Korean lady behind the counter said she would ask the chef prepare it for me. Now that's good service! The chicken salad was fresh and tasty.

The cafe is a little out of the way from Gujora Beach up on the main road, but not a long walk (of course, easy to reach if you have a car). It is fairly new, spacious on two levels and air-conditioned to a comfortable temperature, very comfortable seats and a nice view over the bay (hence its name). "Deep-Fried Heaven!"

If happiness had a flavor, it would be crispy, golden, and slightly greasy—and this place nailed it. The fish? So fresh it probably swam here. The chips? Crunchy outside, fluffy inside, like little potato pillows of joy. And the burger? Juicy, stacked, and dangerously delicious. I had the Mexican Burger and love it. It didn’t just hit the spot—Wow!

Warning: May cause spontaneous happy dances and strong cravings at 2 a.m. I give this place a 10/10.
