Dining here last night wasn't a pleasant experience for me. The Tandoori Chicken was really dry. Glad there was some mint chutney to dip it in which I would've done anyway. What does it mean when it's dry like that? Was it like precooked or something? I don't know what I'm talking about so... The pickles I was told they had prior to ordering turned out to be something like Korean pickled onions. I might be wrong, but I don't think there was any achaar in it. If I am and there was, I'm sorry but there wasn't much in it anyway. Achaar pickles to me are an essential part of any South Asian meal. I ordered also the Himali Naan, which was supposed to have "apple and fruit inside" according to the menu. It didn't. There was some kind of sugary light spread on it that had red specks which I guess were the apples. The masala papadum was good. I guess what was really unpleasant was beyond the control of the restaurant. They seated a family next me (and the tables are very close to each other here) with a little girl screaming I don't know what for a long time. I know: kids are kids, and they're a part of life. Fish swim, birds fly, kids scream. Actually, I'm guessing it was the restaurant owner who came by, and he knew how calm the little girl down. That being said, again it wasn't pleasant for me here. You know, I really felt bad for the mom. She had another baby in her hands and the look on her face was like she just couldn't take it anymore. I don't know if I'm being harsh about this place. It was a Saturday night and they were really busy. It looks like a lot of South Asian people come so it must be a good place with authentic. Like I mentioned earlier: I just don't know what I'm talking about - as usual. You think I should come back and see if it was just an off day for one us? No, I'm too paranoid for that. They'd know it was me who wrote this review. Oh yeah, the service I got was good. There is Korean kid here who is friendly and speaks English...
Read moreI have visited FIRST NEPAL multiple times. Each time I visited with a hope that may be last time I was unlucky to have bad preparation. Out of 7 times I was satisfied only once. If anyone is looking for recommendations for dish I would say SAMOSA and dal fry. Nan is okay. Anything else I could not like so far. I have tried pakora, paneer, chicken and mutton related preparations. Mutton I found worse among them. Kababs are dry too. However I like their hospitality, ambience ( songs take me back to something known), they also used to give Lassi (last 2 times they did not provide). I will keep going their with a hope of getting a good meal their and if I get lucky I will update you all.
Sorry FIRST NEPAL for not being able to post a positive review. Hope this...
Read moreI have been eating here since last two years. The one and only famous and affordable Indian restaurant in Gwangju. The food is always fresh. They serves extremely delicious Indian, asian and nepali food with excellent menus and lots of different alternatives. It is located in the bustling shopping area of downtown. The owner as well as staff is very kind and friendly, and provides an excellent service. The restaurant starts at 11.00 am and closes at 10.00 pm. There could be special menus for the lunch and set menus too, which could be beneficial for multiple peoples. I would like to recommend this restaurant if you...
