대성식당 — Restaurant in Gyeongju-si

Came here July of 2023. It’s one of my favourite memories from my first trip to Korea and Gyeongju.

Staff were kind, welcoming, and hospitable. 할머니 (halmeoni) taught me and my sister how to eat samgyupsal properly. She even made us our first wraps! The flavours were fresh, warm, and full of love. She’s a gem.

Included in the photos are the hands full of care that fed us. If you have issues with bare hands touching food, please kindly keep it to yourselves. This was an experience and culture I was brought up in and I love it.

Lady is so kind and the food is so good. Nice little family owned restaurant. You will have to order at least 3 portions minimum but 1 person portion here is smaller than elsewhere (120g..normal is 200g). So 3 portion is good...

2023/08/21 이전 영업하던 사장이 바뀌었었다 중요한 것은 그것이 아니다. 전에 먹었던 기억에 비해 훨씬 맛의 품질이 떨어졌다. 고기는 사실상 생고기를 자신의 기호에 맞게 먹는다고해도 들고온 된장찌게에서 실망을 감추지못했다. 이상하리만큼 싱겁고 국물이 물이 많았고 김치또한 매운맛이 늘어난 것에 비해 다소 딱딱한것이 김장을 짧게했다는 것을 크게 체감한다. 개인적으로 좀더 분발했으면 좋겠다 2022년 고기값 8,000원 2023년 고기값10,000원

2022년 깔끔하게 리모델링된 좋은 가게 최소주문이 있지만 그 이후 자유롭게 주문가능 고기의 상태도 좋고 된장찌게의 맛도 좋았음 다만 주차공간이 없다는 것이 많이 크다. 점심 피크타임에 가면 사람이 많아 자리가 없을 가능성이 크니...
