Whasoo Brewery — Restaurant in Gyeongju-si

A good brewpub with about a dozen beer options. They have a decent menu as well. We had the seasoned fried chicken which was delicious. The porter was fantastic as was the saison. I was less enthusiastic about the vanilla stout. Pretty high tech setup compared to most North American brewpubs. You get a wristband when you enter which is tagged to your table. You go up to the taps yourself, grab a glass, pull the lever, tap your band on the screen and the beer starts to flow. Same with food, you order at a screen, confirm the order and tap your wristband and the food is brought to your table by a robot. They also have merch for sale. You can get cans to go as well. Ordered the Cream Cheese Pizza and honestly this pizza went to the top of my list of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to NY and Italy). The chicken was likewise delicious, so flavorful and crunchy. We even brought our leftovers back to our hotel and heated them up in the microwave and both pizza and chicken still tasted great. Definitely worth a visit. The selection of beers is great and there seems to always be a crowd in the evenings.
